Above: A fleetyard engineer plasma welds new armour plating onto the upper decking of the apocalypse battleship Vanguard, before the vessel returns to active service
The weekÆs events have featured a number of military actions, with calls from a variety of ever-vocal foes as to the demise of the Empire and her unrelenting servants. The prophecies of doom and despair have been documented with reports of loss in the great transit lanes of the inner systems, an alleged veritable tide that cannot be repelled.
But what is the true impact of such an invasion?
The Epitoth Fleetyards, core of the Vigilia ValeriaÆs industrial capability has proven to be largely unaffected by the stated siege of the inner systems, the day to day operations proceeding effectively as ever under the weight of armed conflict. The production capabilities have become a welcome service to the valiant defenders of the faith; supplying munitions, equipment and shipping to the ever-effective combat forces.
ôWe have been operating at full effiency in order to ensure that the fighting ships are at maximum capabilityö stated Tharrn, Fleet Marshall and CEO of the Epitoth Fleetyards. ôWe have seen a dramatic increase in turnaround time for damaged vessels, with even battleships being fully repaired and returned to service in a matter of hours. We have great pride in our contributions to the peace and stability of those within the borders of this great Empire, long shall the waves of pointless aggression crash again our resolve before the walls of this bastion fallö.
The increase in manufacturing capability has allowed for the production of vital resources already seeing action in a number of theatres, providing a strong core of support for those seeing active service in the conflict. A standing call for new personnel has been reinitiated, in order to supply the mission critical dockyards with the men for the ever-growing demand of high quality equipment for new recruits to the war effort. Indeed, the influx of free men, engineers, slaves and pod-pilot volunteers is due to grow substantially over the weeks ahead.
The fires of industry and the fervour of a devout workforce in aid of their brothers are far from quenched.
Aside from supportive duties, Epitoth Fleetyard personnel have seen action on the front lines, ensuring that the tools produced have been performing the high expectations of Amarrian manufacturing techniques. These actions will continue at the behest of their noble combat-orientated peers for the foreseeable future.

Shame your logistical efforts haven't allowed the loyalist Amarrian paramilitaries to score a single kill against Star Fraction fleet assets in the last 72 hours. Ships mean nothing if you don't have pilots with the courage to fly them.

Excellent update Admiral Tellen. Likewise I've not noticed any issues with my own operations it's just "business as usual". Still the threat of the Minmatar terrorists is always with us thus it's important to stay focused on protecting our holy Empire against the Heathens of Matar.

Yikes, it's business as usual for PIE to lose 50 ships a week in their home systems? And for VV to lose over 30? You all might want to get back to work on securing Amarr a bit better. Doesn't sound like you're doing a very good job.

There, the numbers game hath commenced again! Oh joy. As a friend of mine lately stated: 87% of all statistics are made up. Who sees the comedy in this statement understands my point.
Now back to topic: Congratulations to the Epitoth Fleetyards for their unrelenting efforts of supplying -VV- with the fine craftsmanship they have become known for. We are in your debt and rest assured, your work is highly appreciated!

Edited by: Ituralde on 12/04/2007 06:05:29 By all means, keep building more ships.
Maybe if you care to undock and fight, you might actually need them.
Oh, and our 'Made-Up' statistics are quite public. But by all means, keep denying them... _____________________________ Fear is the mind-killer.

Seems like someone should learn to read here. I invite you, Mr Schroedinger, to "enlighten" us regarding what statistics has Vigilia Valeria shown on their noble statement.
Please, before replying, read what other's say, makes conversations a little more than selfish monologues.
And, to what matters. Congratulations, Epitoh Fleetyards, your noble deeds and actions are an example for all the shipbuilders in the Empire. --------------------- "Between Chaos and Order, we stand". Sepherim, Keter of the Ordo Quaesitoris.

I assure you I do.
I'm assuming therefore that you do not consider "efficiency" to be a statistic? --------------------------------------------

Oh, I see, so you read but you don't understand. Don't worry, we can Enlighten you.
Statistics is a branch of mathematics. Efficiency is a qualitative description of something.
So no, "efficiency" is no statistic, at least unless it comes with other things (like percentages of efficiency, mean description, multivariance analysis, covariance analysis, cluster analysis...). I guess you get the idea.
I hope this serves to Enlighten you. Not all numbers are statistics either, Mr Schroedinger, and even statistics can lie (specially if used as simply and bluntly as your organization seems to like so much). --------------------- "Between Chaos and Order, we stand". So, in short: When we use them they're facts, when you use them their made up "statistics"?

Agreed. No doubt their next 'phase' will bring on further publicity, but such actions shall no doubt continue to play little effect on what must be done.
