ECM Multispecs = Guristas Webs & Warp Scramblers = Guristas < Serpentis < Sanshas < Blood Raiders < Angels Cloaks = Guristas Co-Processors = Serpentis < Guristas Sensor Boosters = Serpentis ALL Engineering Modules= Blood Raiders = Sanshas Armor Hardeners = Blood Raiders = Angels = Serpentis = Sanshas *1 Armor Repairer = Sansha = Blood Raiders < Serpentis < Angels *2 Energized Plating = Serpentis*3 < Blood Raiders = Sanshas Resistance Plating = Serpentis = Angels < Blood Raiders = Sanshas *4 ABs = Serpentis < Angels < Thukker *5 MWDs = Serpentis < Angels Propulsion Upgrades = Angels SBAs = Angels < Guristas Shield Boosters = Angels ?Preference? Guristas *8 All Lasers = Blood Raiders = Sanshas Missles = Sanshas = Angels < Guristas Projectiles = Angels BCU = Angels < Guristas Gyros = Angels Heat Sinks = Blood Raiders = Sashas Mag Stabs = Serpentis Tracking Computers = Serpentis Tracking Enchancers = Angels Tracking Links = Serpentis
Please note that I'm sure there are some mistakes in here, this list seems complete, but I could be missing anything.
Also. Serpentis = Gallente Navy Angels = Republic Fleet Sanshas = Ammatar Fleet Blood Raiders = Ammar Navy Guristas = Caldari Navy For some reason not all modules which have a pirate faction mod, have the corresponding empire mod.
*1 = All are the same, except the Domination Hardeners use 10 cap instead of 30, but have only a 50% bonus. So, the preference on "best" is up to playstyle. *2 = In order from least sustainable to most sustainable. All repairers have the same amount of armor hp repaired per cap, except Angels have the lowest cap usage, Serpentis second lowest etc. etc. *3 = Shadow Serpentis (Gallente Navy) ONLY have worse stats for Energized Plating. Serpentis Deadspace and Officer Energized Plating is equal to Blood Raider and Sansha equipment. *4 = Only Shadow Serpentis (Gallente Navy) and Domination (Republic Fleet) Resistance Plating are lower than Blood Raider and Sansha items, all Deadspace and Officer Resistance Platings have the same stats. *5 = The Thukker Modified 100mn Afterburner is only that, a 100mn afterburner, the Thukker line does not continue into the 10mn or 1mn ranges. *6 = Angel Shield Boosters give more shield hp per cap, giving it more sustainability, the Gurista Shield Boosters give more shield hp per second, allowing for better blob defense. *7 = All smartbombs have faction and officer variations, but only one per damage type, except EM which has both Sanshas and Blood Raiders, and they are equal. *8 = Serpentis have shorter optimal, but higher damage mod. Below is an Officer Chart.

Obviously, the Officer with the highest bounty has the best mods of that faction. Usually, there are corresponding Deadspace modules, and the X-type goes with the best Officer, A-type with the second best. Usually. Not always.

Nice writeup.
Angel Hardeners suck however, Last I checked they were 50%, worse than T2.

Might want to change the armor repairers though since TS and DB are way better then the other 2 and angels is worse then t2

Angel reps use 10% less cap/cycle than t1/t2. It's good for afking etc :)

True Sansha/DB = 900 hp/cycle - Better than T2 with less fitting Req but higher cap use.
Shadow Serpentis = 800 hp/cycle = Same as T2 with lower fitting.
Domination - 760 hp/cycle with far lower cap use - worse rep amount than t2, lower fitting, low cap use. -----

Actually last time i checked, domi rep 720@360, which is same sh1t as t2/shadow serp in terms of hp/cap ratio. It's easier to run on auto, though. -------- I tanked D2 capital fleet and all I got was truncated Erebus mail.

I think you misread the legend.
< means "Lesser than" so it would say: Webs & Warp Scramblers = Guristas lesser than Serpentis lesser than Sanshas lesser than Blood Raiders lesser than Angels
There is a mistake however, Sanshas = Blood Raiders, in this matter. N.F.F. Recruitment - Killboard Mirroring tool |

I just use the, apparently, little known compare option on the variation tab. Columns are sortable so when you need something it's 2 secs work in-game to find the best.
It's in-game, it's fast, it's useful.

Edited by: Farjung on 13/04/2007 12:41:36 Nice list. Some issues that stood out to me:
"ALL Engineering Modules= Blood Raiders = Sanshas"
While only br/ts have pure cap mods, serps also have grid mods (rcu/pds). They're all worse than br/ts equivalent in at least one way (usually more cpu use and lower beneficial stats), though you still wouldn't trash a cormack power diag.
The thukker afterburner thing is interesting, does it actually drop? Odd that it has better boost than even tobias/gist x o_O.
As far as the domination armor hardeners, I'm going to have to disagree and say that imo they're not very useful. If you're in a position where the 1 cap/s you save by using domination over ts/db/ss is a deal breaker, you're probably better off using a complex passive membrane. And they use 40 cpu rather than the 20 the other three use, which is more often a deal breaker.
Nosferatu/neuts were left out, ts = db. Only db plexes drop nos though, ts don't.
For armor repairers, in contrast with shield boosters, hp/s is usually a more pressing concern than cap/s, so I'd personally reverse your order and say ts/db > ss > domi. Even with the increased cap need it's fairly easy to get a sustainable armor tank, whereas shield tanks really benefit from the reduced cap need. This is also reflected by market price.
For smartbombs, range is usually the most pressing concern to most, and in that case dg < domi < ss < ts/db. Raw damage also follows that same relationship, although given the different damage types that's less clear cut.
You could mention that only angel officers have officer tackling mods.
Going to put in a renewed request for "missing" items - e.g. dread guristas signal distortion amplifiers, shadow serp remote sensor damps/boosters, ts/db tracking tracking disruptors and domination target painters. --- Wave of Mutilation 2 |

That is about the armor modules. I didn't really know what people find most valuable, so I ranked them in terms of cap per use, since they all repair the same amount per cap.
And in terms of hardeners, I wouldn't use Angel ones.
If you want, the order for amount of armor repaired per second would be: Angels < Serpentis < Sanshas = Blood Raiders.
Hope this clears up confusion and mistakes.
More criticism is welcome. I guess everyone could use the in-game compare, I haven't in awhile. I just haven't seen anything like this on the forums and figured I'd post it.

In other words, it's ideal for dual repper Brutix or Myrm with Repair bonus and the need to save capacitor. With BC 5 bonus, it repairs 1045 hp per cycle, and still retains the low fitting requirements. They're awesome for what they are intended.
