1. A new NPC corporation called Planetary Enterprises. It has all the usual departments, plus one more: Planetary Interaction department. Agents from this department will give missions level 1 through 4 like this: L1: Medium sized hauling missions (1-5K M3) L2: combat missions. Many of which result in the retrieval of PI commodities. L3: Large hauling missions. Will require an Epithal or several runs in a basic hauler. L4: The hardest ones. These missions require that you put down a factory on a nearby planet and extract some special mission-specific resource. These may take several days.
2. The loyalty store for Planetary Enterprises will give out PI related stuff, including new LP-only PI skills: - Link Efficiency: reduces the power cost for links by 7% per level - Extractor precision: Reduces the radius of extractor heads by 10% per level - Extractor management: Allows for an additional extractor head at levels 1,3,4, and 5. - Planetary storage management: Increases the storage capacity of launchpads and storage facilities. - Planetary espionage: Increase the amount of information you can get about other installations on a planet. (where they are, what they're extracting, etc)
Plugins: - Increases the accuracy of planetary scans - Decreases the cycle time of advanced factories by 10% ...
3. The loyalty store will also give out BPC's for advanced PI related ships - The Bear: 1K M3 cargo bay, 120K M3 PI bay. Bigger and better shields than the Epithal. Bonus to afterburners and microwarp drives. - The Moose: .5K M3 cargo bay, 70K M3 PI Bay. Built in +2 warp stabilization and bonus to ECM modules. - The Gazelle: Built for wormholes. Bonuses to scanning modules. Extra medium slots. 50K M3 PI bay. More agile, faster to warp
More advanced ideas: 4. What would be really cool would be a whole new section of wormholes that are only reachable by purchasing the bookmarks from the loyalty store. These wormholes would have higher resource rates, and maybe even have some new resources that are only available there. Maybe they are needed to build the new PI ships?
5. Rare hybrid planets. Planets that have multiple types and thus all the resources of both. For example, a jungle planet would be both temperate and oceanic. A primordial planet would be both lava and storm. (And maybe since it's such a dangerous place, occasionally, one of your factories gets taken out by storms and you have to rebuild it. Glacial planets would be both oceanic and ice.
