There is "certain" weapons ingame that do 200+ in damage per shot every 0.9 seconds, that is 10000 in damage in 10 seconds, if you mount 4 of them on a cruiser. The "funny" part is that GMs know about this and that is WHY m0o can continue their rampage through space! i cant tell you what weapon that is, but i assure you NO ONE will be able to take out m0o or any other pirate corp until devs fix this extremely unbalanced weapon. how do i know this? well me and a friend sat in our MOA crusiers, and a m0o pirate jumped in, locked and about 4-5 seconds later i was in my nice little "egg" and my friend was close to die but managed to escape with 22% structure left... all under 10 seconds... i did send in petition about this an the "rough" answer i got was "we know m0o have som powerful weapons" i wont go into the full conversation as it is prohibited to post! But roughly they say we know about those weapons and noone will do anything about it. So thats why the chickens from m0o can continue their rampage... HOPEFULLY CCP will fix this A.S.A.P

Yes we know it. We were about to kill them wir our fleet, but since our scouts reported a damage of 300 on 30 kilometers from Mo0 we delayed our "action." I am wondering what weapons they have. Its surely possible to do 200-300 damage with a 250mm Railgun with the right equipement (magnetic stabilizer) and amo (Antimatter). You also don¦t have to underestimate their skills. Rapid firing and so on... Take a look on Energy weapons, you will also see they can do some "BIG" damage

I am not in MOO, nor have I had any contact with them to my knowledge. Yes there are powerfull weapons out there. I have a frigate laser that does upto 96 damage at 10km every 1.7 seconds. I have yet to find a cruiser laser that is better than it. I imagine that I will eventually find a very good cruiser weapon, and when I do I will not be surprised if it can do 200 damage per second. Now, if I can reverse engineer that and make more of them, I most certainly will.
All I am saying really is don't whine about Uber-Weapons.... Go find your own.
PS BTW, 200 every 0.9 seconds is only 2,222 damage in 10 seconds

Weapons like this do likely exist. But they would only exist as pirate loot, and therefore incredibly hard 2 find (especially weapons of this caliber).
If you still want 2 take down that m0o cruiser that blew your ship i suggest you ID what kind of ship it is and jam it. Thus he wont be able 2 target you and you can pick him apart at leasure.
That is of course the reason for ECM weapons.

You are, of course, free to complain about unbalanced weapons if you wish.
However, the weapons are just fine, it is your perception that is skewed.
The devs know what the weapons can do, so despite your complaints it's not going to change the facts.
If you 'know what they are' I suggest you pick some up and use them. It's not like we are the only ones who are allowed to have them..
I fail to see how guns that are freely available to all who want them are 'unbalanced'.

m0o is showing you that to be a good fighter, you need to dedicate your attributes and skills, and more importantly your time, to it. You can attain 200 damage a hit (without critting) easily, if you have the right skills and modules.
Reality check : You won't be a good fighter if you spend all your time griefing roids.
Exemple of a killing machine anybody can build :
Ship : Maller (6 hi, 2 med, 6 low) Skills : all gunnery skills to 4 at least, engineering 4, electronics 4 High slots : 4 x 425mm siege or scout artillery (3.73 damage modifier and up) Med slots : 1 MWD (Hydrocarbon preferably), 1 warp disruptor Low slots : 2 reactor control unit, 4 F-M2 weapon stabilizers or better (1.145x damage modifier, 1.135 fire rate bonus).
With this setup, you can roughly deliver ~200 damage _per gun_ avery 2.7 seconds at up to ~15km (after that it becomes less accurate but you can still hit hard at up to 25km).
It means that by the time your opponent's sensors locks on you (avg 5 to 6 second locking time for a cruiser, depending of the pilot's skills), you will have delivered 1500+ damage to him, which means he already lost the battle by the time he gets a lock :p
However, to find those rare items you will have to hunt many days in hostile space and slaughter an humongous number of high-level pirate cruisers.
There's no secrets, only game knowledge. m0o are just using the tools that are in the game. Of course they play it like they have found a mysterious uber Jove weapon that makes them invincible, but that's only a way to keep their opponents in fear :p
To finish off on a provocative note (as always) I'll add that most large "carebear" corps should seriously worry because they are losing the military race.

Welp, i'd say Projectile weapons will get hit by the nerfbat next patch (if only slightly) as they're pretty much superior to Hybrids now, only without the capacitor usage. |

Hybrids do more damage than projectiles, projectiles use less capacitor, neither is more powerful.

""With this setup, you can roughly deliver ~200 damage _per gun_ avery 2.7 seconds at up to ~15km (after that it becomes less accurate but you can still hit hard at up to 25km). ""
So your projectiles are about 1/3 (one third) as powerful as some of these lasers (DoT) and require ammunition also - is that "balanced"?
Gameplay:
Irrespective of "ones" personal opinion to the above - what does any such damage rate mean to gameplay?
"I lost my 12 million ISK Moa in 10 seconds"
Hmm..... if that were me i think i'd be annoyed a little. Not at loosing, but at the battle being so short lived (assuming it was one on one that is).
It doesnt speak of quality gameplay to me, particularly when considering the effort required, by most, to achieve such ships.
Comparitive weapon useage will always be undergoing both balancing and opinion, but at no time should the game devolve into "he who fires first always wins in 10 seconds"... certainly not within the same ship class etc.
Just because an outcome is inevitable , does not mean it should be over before it begins... that, by definition, is not a game.
And, of course, the underlying issue is one of gameplay, not mechanics of individual weapons, you just have to look around the egos (bruised or bloated) to see it.

[In response to Ronyo Dae'Loki]
I somewhat disagree, right now projectile do the same damage as hybrid, but have the advantage of cap. Their official downside is that projectile weapons can't hold as much ammo, but when one shot does 200 damage, you don't care :p
I can't think of any serious reason to use hybrid over projectile atm.
Anyway, I think that the whole weapon system is unbalanced. Destroying a high-end cruiser in 10 seconds with another high-end cruiser is unacceptable, even with super high skills and a luxurious loadout.
It has been said many times in beta already and nothing changed, so I guess it's not going to change anytime soon...

Darkannis I totally agree.
As a side note, this maller loadout was just an exemple of a common setup, if you search very hard (or in the right places) you can find even better weapons and upgrades that will make it look weak in comparison.
And this problem will only worsen with time, as people find more and more uber equipment.
I suggest that all ammo types (hybrid, projectile, crystals) see their damage stats reduced drastically, without altering the damage modifiers of the different weapons (except maybe the obviously unbalanced ones).
I also suggest that weapon upgrades (gyros, etc), can not give more than 10% bonus each, because right now you can easily double your firepower with a few upgrades.
Flame on ... ;)

Does anyone else see a problem with an even-up battle taking less than 30 seconds? It would be nice if a battle between even opponents lasted a couple minutes at least. Right now, there's no chance of delaying for reinforcements or using half the various non-gun items if you can be vaporized before the game even finishes loading in a system.
I won't go so far as to say m0o is obviously cheating -- because I think it's quite possible they aren't. The fact that they tried gaming the interface to "trick" me into giving away my position was pretty low, but I don't have any reason to think they are getting favors from the devs like some people are claiming. However, I think the fact that they can get weapons that are so overpowering that they reduce comparable ships to shreds in seconds means that something in the game needs to be looked at. This is just with level 1 items -- what happens where there are ships with level 5 weapons flying around? Will they vaporize lesser ships in a single shot? What's the fun in that?
I'm also wondering why the police and navy don't respond when something is happening inside empire space. This Mara business is happening in a 0.4 zone in Caldari space -- yet the Caldari Navy and CONCORD don't seem to care, and when they do show up, they get turned into mincemeat. If ANYONE should have advanced weapons, it's not the NPC pirates, it's the NPC navy and police ships. They are the ones with the huge military budgets. If the pirates can walk over their forces so easy, why haven't they taken over already? :P

"So your projectiles are about 1/3 (one third) as powerful as some of these lasers (DoT) and require ammunition also - is that "balanced"?"
Well, don't forget that the good lasers require a huge amount of energy, energy that could otherwise go into boosting your shields etc.
As for the topic of these <30 sec battles...for Frigates it seems OK, but two cruisers? Nah, a cruiser battle taking less than 30 seconds is just silly. It might be balanced, it might be fair, but that still doesn't stop it just feeling wrong. I would (like to) expect a cruiser to put up a good fight against anything lower than a battleship.

Man I can't get over the ammount of wining in this thread...
Here is one fact to chew on... NO WEAPON IN THE GAME IS MORE THAN 15% MORE POWERFULL THAN ITS "PREVIOUS VERSION".
There are many versions of almost all weapons. Each of the following adjectives is a modifier: Dual, Scout, Limited, Carbine, Modulated, Focused (plus many others).... And each one adds about 15% or so to the weapon's effectiveness.
If you take a regular weapon may do 20 damage, but a limited version does 23, and a dual limited does 27. A Dual limited scout does 32... Plus 3 weapon upgrades (heatsink/gyroscope thingys) that each add 20% and we are up to 50 damage. Plus the ship bonus of 5% per level, at level 4 is 20%, that puts us up to 60 damage. Plus level 4 in whatever type of turret it is gives another 20%, and now we are up to 72 damage, from that simple 20 damage weapon, with just 3 levels of technology advancement.
Dont forget that in addition to increased damage, there is an increase in ROF and range as well, coupled with a reduction in power, cpu and cap requirements... (I have had a frigate laser that required no cap to fire at all)
The more levels of technology advancement an item has, the more rare it is. I had a weapon that I rather liked, that I found during the first week of play. I lost that weapon, and only then did I realize how good it really was. I have looked for one since, and just last night have finally found a replacecment. All I have done since I started has been hunt pirates, so that is some testament to how dificult items can be to find...
PS the stabber uses Ladar, and the moa uses gravimetric....Try jamming them sometime. Or maybe try increasing your shield's EM resistance (I can get mine to 110%). If some one is going to hit you with a hammer, either hit them with a bigger hammer, shoot em with a gun, or run away, don't whine about getting hit. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!.

No matter how both ships are set. 10 second battles of PCs vs. PCs that were supposed to be balanced cannot be part of EVE. We are talking about a game built the ground up to give hundreds of strategical elements that can be used wisely, but none of them may give uber powers to any player: destroying a PC ship must be tough, not an easy endeavour.
This is not Freelancer where you load your Titan or Sabre with nomad cannons, or even worse, with Diamonbacks with an edited ROF.

Weeks getting up to a good cruiser or longer, 10 seconds or less to lose it with no real possibilty of escape or victory. Even the police/navy are inneffective.
Weee... 10 seconds rounds is even shorted than Counterstrike! ... The Griefers won.
You really think carebear corps (the majority)are going to go outside controlled space, when the perception is: 1. Expert Ex Beta Pirates. 2. Ex Ark Jumping Pirates (so have unlimited funds - so whats the point of killing them). 3. Massive chance of getting slaughtered in a very one sided fight vs said pirates. 4. Very little chance of getting any oober weapons to defend yourself (catch-22) as Moo would have stumbled across you by then. 5. Ineffectual Buty Hunter Corps.
Kind-of-a "look for a new game" moment.
-----
Said player pirates would kill this game, and they have...
Solutions (mostly already requested): 1. Pirates don't drop loot they only drop wreckage (this can then be re-cycled into minerals to build stuff) Helping the market significantly. 2. Special Weapons are only available via BP's being slowly released to ALL making a level playing field. 3. In real life Pirates would be hunted to extinsion (the "sea" pirates lasted only a few tens of years before being eradicated and only existed as they were paid killers by the goverments in the first place), so the navy should be set up to send out Massive fleets to clear systems of these pirates, and with military preceision, block all jump gates, then sweep a system, having already arranged for Stations to repel any attemopts to dock from known griefers. 4. Police/Navy have the ability to persue pirates to the death.
The fact is, Pirates don't die very often, players get bored and want an instant get-rich-quick scam, so be a pirate it obviously pays to cheat, steal and kill defenceless players for fun.
Concorde, The Police, The Navy and especially CCP are all totally inefective.
6 weeks to HW2. I relly love the idea behind this game, just CCP seem unable or unwilling to make it happen.

Everyone knows that 200 damage per second isnt ment to be in this game, its like knowing a code in a game and by typing it in you will become a god.
I'd like to ask Mo0 to even wait with using these cannons till we receive a notice from CCP that this weapon is allowed or that it is correct.
The last game i played, they had an place where you could buy potions to regenerate hp. At one place it was 30 and the other was 150 where they could sell for 100... People bought miljoins and got in 7 hours time 11 miljoin each on cash by just teleporting from 1 place to another.
When they found out about this exploit, they banned all 25 people who used it... They said: You should have used your common sence and realize this wasnt an intented update, so you used it as an exploit. We hate cheaters and will hunt people who use bugs or hacks down...
I dont know CCP their point of view, but i can imagine they act the same way. And even agree with them since... But thats another topic. __________________________

Well, from what I read, I have no problem with the ammount of damage that can be done in a short time by someone well trained and well equiped.
Though put me down for have a slight issue with even battles between cruisers taking less then a minute. I think that it should last longer, though I have no idea how to do it. Battle ships should last longer, and Titans even longer.

The problem here is not that the weapons etc are uber powered, its that M0o have discovered weapons which when used with certain SKILLS and mod equipment cause huge amounts of damage, now the reason for this is they have been focusing on nothing but making themselves uber powered in PvP from the start, as far as I can see all they have done is train skills and use combos that make them lethal when attacking, by this logic a well equiped task force with adequate EW support could cause untold levels of damage to M0o ships, if they have focused all their efforts on causing massive amounts of damage then they should be vaunerable when the correct tactics are used against them. I suggest that instead of simply *****ing about how hard they are, you all get together and actually make a plan on how to defeat them, working together I doubt it would be hard to come up with a fleet that outnumbers M0o 3 or even 4 to one, come on people use your noggins a little here:P ----------------------------------------------- "Nemo me impune lacessit" |

No - that isnt the problem at all.
The problem is that the damage rate is too high resulting in very brief battle encounters.
All you need do is compare the ability of a ship to replace lost shield against the capability to remove it and you can see the immense imbalance.
The RESULT is that anything other than offensive power is redundant in PvP.
THAT is the imbalance.
Shield boosters, shield transfer, energy drains, energy neutralisers, cap batteries, cap boosters - ALL redundant as you dont have time to utilise them if you're dead in a few seconds.
ie = no strategy.
- - -
I really wish people would sit down and actually employ some grey matter on the issue - and wonder what all those other modules are for that nobbody uses.... because they are, currently, worthless.
ATM there is one strategy exemplified and "perfected" by some - Raw firepower wins every time.
Thats it.
Anybody else messing with ecm, shield boosters, energy drains, shield transfers, energy transfers and suchlike is just fooling themselves or playing too much PvE.
Once you get over that, and accept it, you can start to realise that some things need to be changed in a vague attempt to make combat more interesting, more challenging, more time consuming and more varied...
dare i say it...
more "fun".
You can have fun AND lose you know?
But not if its over before it began.

I think I agree with Gaunt here - are people upset that the weapons exist, or that a corporation like M0o is in possession of them and using them?
Why is anyone surprised? M0o have relied on nothing but brute force from the start. Great for a quick and unopposed rise to power, but what about the long run? Specialization is for insects, as Robert Heinlen said. Their style of power is great for a massive first assault, but what if pilots with different skills can force a drawn out fight? What if that lone ship that drops out of warp near a gate they're haunting is a honey trap? Maybe next time they try to trick someone with a gang invitation they'll warp there to find a fleet waiting for them. What if someone makes proper and effective use of ecm and eccm in a coordinated effort with a combination of assault and defensive ships in a number of waves? What happens when one of the M0o guys decides he wants to be in charge now and plots mutiny? Those weapons will do as much damage against their own ships as anyone elses.
All warfare is deception, it's been said. Currently M0o are deceiving us that they are unstoppable. If we buy that line they will hammer us every time - we'll get bogged down in pointless arguments over how unfair things are, or how long it takes to die, instead of coordinating efforts in skillful ways to defend ourselves.

Minor detail though, if m0o is doing everything according to the rules and it's all correct gameplay why told the GMs Raven to keep his mouth shut concerning details?
I really don't get it, m0o is doing more damage to the game then good by stiring the community a bit. They are really causing severe damage to the community by griefing literally everybody who comes across. I am certain there are several players already severely dissapointed already.
Podding EVERYBODY who comes across, not even caring about the loot only the kill is not balanced gameplay if they can get away with that. Especially not if it happens in key systems like Mara.
In beta the pirating was much more balanced. No uberweapons causing even the big corps to back out and no exessive pirateoccupation because the severe skill-loss when podded.
And mind you, mara should be relatively safe considering it's not that low (only 0.42) and THE bottleneck for the entire Lonetrek Region.
Even storywise that's just stupid when a key sector like that has no occupation force. No Caldari Navi and no CONCORD whatsoever. The Guristas are stupid, all they would have to do is take control of that system and they would, as m0o has now, maybe 25 to 50% of all Caldari players hanging by the balls. And that's just insane considering it are maybe 40-50 people.
The 0.0 space is supposed to be pirate territory, but it seems CCP sort of lost it if it concerns security zones and the appropiate (even gameplay wise) security. Because you can even encounter arrogators at 0.7 gates and in 0.8 belts while there should be a sizeable enforcement fleet at those systems.
And it looks now like the there is no difference between deep 0.0 and 0.4 space when it comes to the amount of trouble you can cause and get away with.
Not even a CONCORD dispatch force arriving there after maybe 15 minutes. what the hell does 0.4 mean then? 0.0 but with ****ty roids instead? The same you can find in 1.0 too by the way?
Besides the fact that pirates can keep their security levels hi by killing the pirates at the gate as a pasttime is a pure exploit.
Personlly this all strikes me as extremely shortsighted balancing from CCP. --- soonÖ |

That's a good point, Shock. And especially for Caldari space - blockading the Mara system will severly affect commerce within Caldari space, not something looked upon lightly in an ultra capitalistic society.
Given the corporate nature of the Caldari state such an attempt at heisting a vital commercial route could be considered a challenge to the state itself, not just its individual members and corps.

The thing is, we're just back to Phase 5-6 of beta where combat was way to fast. You could kill another player before they could lock on you, as you can now. This should not be, and CCP did something about x10+ damage modifiers then (and I considered it a good thing even though I was known to "exploit" the insane damage modifiers). They will do something about it now aswell. |

I am a life-long lover of projectile weapons and I have to say that the answer to the relative weakness of the projectile versus hybrids and lasers was NOT to increase the damage output of the projs. A cruiser should not be capable of giving a battleship a run for its money as it is now. Combat is WAAAAYYY too fast and there needs to be a way to slow it all down.
If all the different mid-ranged units you can fix were actually any use then it would be a great help. Putting more range or less power reqs/greater capabilities on weapon jamming systems would certainly be of use. As would not screwing up the distribution of warp core stabilisers.
I'm aware of a good few people who have left the game already cos of the totally one-sided arrangements with the PKers (usually after a run-in with someone who killed them so fast they didn;t gt a chance to even hit autopilot). I'd say that CCP would probably lose less players from nerfing combat than they would from keeping it as it is. And if that means Mo0 corp leaves the game and takes that idiot-elite Stavros with them, then I am sure that's a price we'd be happy to pay. :)

At the moment you walk round a corner with a pea shooter and come face to face with a rocket launcher...
You may be enjoying being the one with the rocket launcher Stav... but people really don't want to be the one with the pea shooter... the player figures may just reflect this.
What would happen if Moo etc. did leave the game:
People will be able to explore the rich world of eve knowing that no-one is waiting to oblitearte them.
The risks of doing what they are doing are calculable and when they feel ready to accept greater risks they will take the challenge in the hope the rewards are waiting for them.
Personally I like to dock with my ship on fire, I knew the risks going into the battle and I choose to risk everyhting. But I know its a fair fight.
When the missions and extra content finally arrive, then people will have a massive amount to do in eve, the need to have player pirates "making things happen" will simply not exists. You will get crushed by CCP as you no longer will be required; you might as well leave now mate.
As per the comment above, I too have friends that know "all about MMORPGs" and they are right... Eve as yet, is no different.
A minority ruin it for the majority.

This is very interesting. But what I don't agree about is that it is something wrong with the actual weapons, it's not those that has a ~10x d-mod and RoF of 1 sec, it's when u got a bundle of low-slots high tech weapon upgrades that does it. Here http://omicron.mine.nu/eve/setup.jpg is a picture I manage to get my hands on, as you can see those weapon upgrades have a +30 % d-mod and +35% RoF. I found my way into the TTI item database (http://www.tti-nexus.com/evedb/menu.html) the other day, so i checked up the gyrostabilizers. A gyro IV has a +13% d-mod and +15% RoF and has a tech lvl of 4, so that would make the "Fluid Suspended Gyro" what, tech lvl 8, 9? I just asked myself...what are these kind of weapon upgrades doing in the game only one (1) month after realese? Ofcourse, the database might not be up-to-date but I would doubt it. Are CCP really aware what they put in the loot-tables?
I¦am not saying that all kinds of upgrades with higher tech should be removed from the game, personally I think it should be very likly to actually find rare-loot weapon upgrade that is like the gyro IV, not because of the fact that I've found them myself, but because it¦s only logical not to ruin the game.
But then again it's not just the very fact that these weapon upgrades exists that makes so overpowered, it's the matter that you can fit as many as you have low slots. Personaly I think that not the right way to do it, would be alot better if there were a maximum number of weapon upgrades you could fit, like the turret/missil slots for highslots. That would balance the game abit more imo. Would need some tweaking and such tho...
Anyway, this is abit of topic but is very suitable for the problem that we now have here. The very element of PvP was a popular part of d2 (Diablo 2), a game which I spent most of my time playing last summer. I was good, could get most of the stuff i wanted, and for all of you that have ever played it...the chance for getting the best stuff in the game is like 0.0000016... There is this bow (Windforce, and ITH-bows(hacked))...that when you reach the level able to use it you can do about 3k-9k each shot if using proper +damage gear. A player usually have about 700-1200 hp in that game, so it would pretty much mean instant death. So how did I counter this when facing a Amazon with that bow?. Defense, defense and more defense. With a curtain equipment combo and skill choices I was able to obtain a total of 94% damage reduce, pretty much nullifing any damage "taken". Mostly there was no problem of wining those battles, but ofcourse that was specilized gear to counter those kinds of players. My point is, do you really think m0o would stand a chance if you warped in with +20 cruisers, all with shield fields runing (such as photonic scatering field) that would pretty much nullifing the damage? Would be to fight high-hp frigates...
As you might noticed, hence they need ships with a lot of low-slots to obtain this kind of high damage output, they got no more than 2 (in most cases) med-slots, so they will be pretty much a free meal for any force that has some EW-cruisers (eg blackbird) with them. Even a little "harmless" tristan would be able to jam them.
Just to add something for the topic about encountering them, I got ambushed by 2 of m0o¦s blackbirds after jumping into Mara (i think), luckly my autopilot manage to warp away to next jumpgate before they¦ve manage to lock, fire/scamble whatever, so they warped after me. When I got out of the warp I discovered that there was another BB waiting for me at the gate. What they didn't know was that I was on a courier mission for my agent (which btw needs some serious updates), equipt with +speed gear able of flying 720 m/s, and could easily fly away from them in my little tristan without even taking some serious hits :PPPPPPP. __________________________________________________________ |

LOL... sure.. "Oh look I found a Jovian Super Stellar Converter Death Star SFD-1 Main Gun Laser with 10x dmg mod, Ill just keep it safe in my hangar until everyone developed enough to defend against it and/or I get the ok from CCP to use it"
Isn't the whole point of finding a kickass rare gun to get an edge on people that dont have it? 5x dmg projectiles aren't impossible, and with the right ammo and upgrades and skill, they can do even more than 200 dmg. It's all about figuring out how the modifiers are applied :)
Oh and M0O prolly does a good job at keeping the market demand for ships up *grin*

OK - we all hate being killed in seconds... So, we have to do what they [Mo0]'ve done. Tool up, commit to combat, and go take back what has been taken from us. I'm watching corp after corp organising huge mining opps, but I'm not seeing anyone heading more than 20 jumps from 'home' to search for toys. With voice comms it's very easy to organise small parties with coordinated jumps and pirate-hunting groups. Groups with a good variety of weapons makes for good solid teams - not ships all tooled up identically. They don't have access to anything that isn't available to everyone. Yes - I was sold into this this game as having battles that were less-than-arcade and would last more than 20 seconds, but a more agressive approach is needed in response. Everyone is so worried about losing their ship that the game is turning into a mining and economics simulator. I know this is where the money begins, but their attutude is beating us down. We feel we've lost before we've begun. They're not invincible, and they're not magic. They just have a lot of toys strapped on and have spent the time on the skills. Let's go get 'em...

About the time needed to kill a cruiser: This topic has been indeed discussed since very early in the beta, and nothing has changed so far. One reason for this imho has always been that, if cruiser fights would take 2 minutes 1on1, you could always chicken out after 1 minute 30 when you realise you gonna lose. That does not mean it will never change, if you think it should be changed, go to the bug reports section and file a feature request/feedback. Maybe one of you or the devs will finally get an idea how to resolve the issue i sketched above. Discussing this here or sending in bug reports to increase the devs awareness for the issue is good, whining is not, so the ones doing it, stop it please, cope with the current situation and try to improve it in a constructive way, or leave (sorry to say that, but i have to). Whining blurs the real issues and harms the community and the game.

'tis funny because you and others of your ilk are always the first to kick up an enormous fuss when their "pirating" is brought to end by unbalanced weapons.

Besides, if game is "massively nerfed" and people like m0o leave, that'll lower the population by...eh, what? Twelve members in your Corp aren't there?

True... However, the bugs and not-yet-nerfed stuff back then was simply too much. Think of this. Maller + 6 extrudeds + heavy modulated beams w/ multifreq. Small energy turret 5, medium 4, large 4, surgical strike 4. Okay, so each mod does 1.098*1.12 = 1.22976x. Since ALL turret skills were applied (bug): (1.22976^6)*1.25*1.2*1.2 = 6,22579x original damage mod (3.3) = 20,54x damage mod. 20.54*22 = 452 raw damage per hit AND GUN (3-4 of them). Also, Gunnery/Rapid Firing were both 5%/level...

My question is how did the championships go? And did we see balanced gameplay there? How long did the fights last etc.
If anything I feel the championships occurred in order to let the devs see how combat works. I hope more events like this will take place . I also hope the Amarr are not the only ones with events.
I love my projectiles right now but hear that the tachyons are the gun to get if you want to do 700+ critical hits...

I wouldnt mind nerfing these exploiters right out of the game. We all remember the mara/passari deal and m0o using modules that stacked improperly. Even when alerted they weren't supposed to be used that way (they were nerfed later) they kept on using it.
The term your looking for is "griefer".
I guess I'd ask all the PvP Psychos out there why they dont fight each other instead of attacking everyone else?

I can say that after and even being test pilot for damage at different ranges (I was being shot at) I have seen and watched a charcter with 4 tach's doing over 1000 points in critical hits and watched it strip an apoc of all shields in about 2 seconds flat. They are hard to and yes expensive to find and they suck serious cap. Hey they best damage I ever did was today with a 250mm at 15km against an npc with one balancer on and all gun skills at three or higher of 205.7 points of damage with a 195 to follow it up. Tachs will kil them of the cap they use will kill u. Best of the best and when used right they will pod a lot of poor souls very quickly
