Earlier me and a corpmate collected a nice fresh frozen corpse. But that corpse is ABSOLUTE useless!!!
Seriously we need a skill: corpse refining!! So we could refine them into frozen food.

I agree, I mean except for the rare case of selling, corpses are just useless, and they pile up like instas and make lag.
The best solution would be if we could refine them and use them for something. Plus that would give pirates a reward for pod killing someone who refuses a ransom. Knowing that the pirate would get something anyway (and knowing what may happen to their corpse) could make players more apt to pay ransom on their pods.
I think frozen food would be exactly what comes out of corpses. I wholeheartedly agree on this issue.

Probably the best way to do something with them would be to add a feature that required "biomass components" (in other words, harvested neurons, ganglia, nerves and organs) for high-end T2 or even T3 components. Skills would include things like Biomass Harvesting.

That's actually a good idea.
Maybe Jovian tech? Bio-Implants? A third eye on your forehead? The possibilities would be endless.

The only way this could work (i would love it.. im sick of hauling my collection of most memorable corpses around with me) is if it works like salvaging... do it in stations perhaps.. on stations in low sec/0.0 have the tools to do it as concord thinks its horrible! oh noes!
Better ships make better salvage, better implanted clones make better harvests... this would stop people repodding noob accounts over and over...
Maybe make it based on SP as well? Less incentive to pod noobs, more cost to stop people podding themselves for profit!
Also where are our Christmas corpse cannons? Or did we just give bob some more bpos for Christmas?

In all seriousness, you should be able to use specific corpses to fill contracts.
Someone could take a contract out on poor old me for an astronimical sum, you could come and (hypothetically) kill me and take my corpse back to fill the contract.
Of course, you'd want to restrict it to a particular corp or alliance so that I don't kill myself and collect the contract myself.

Yeah, noticed that once when I had some to sell from mission leftovers, pretty amusing.
I do like the idea of extracting implants components from them and then being able to manufacture implants, essentially mirroring what is done with ships and rigs. Not sure if the database records what implants were in the corpse when it was created or not, if not then it would just be a random chance of getting something.
Alternatively you could maybe refine them into ice products...
Edit: I just had a cool idea. Set up a POS that will shot at anyone apart from your corp members in high sec and fit it with a refinery. Pop a secure can near the gate full of BMs to "Free Stuff". Come around every week or so to collect the corpses and refine them into fuel to run the POS!! I'm a genius

People asked to get implants out of corpses, I don't think the devs were too eager for the idea IIRC, as far as rigs from ships I think it was the same deal, people asking about getting it. Don't know about the rigs one though.
