Okay, cant say much about anything at this stage...
But, I would like to hear what the general feeling is about how many crew members it would take to pilot a Hurricane class battlecruiser(specifically). You guys here discuss crew sizes more than anyone so i value what you have to say and unfortunately dont have time to read the many posts relating to it. Also, id rather leave the 'POD' aspect out of what is being done so is it feasible to pilot a ship without the pods altogther, so just a complement of crew?
Thanks in advance

I would say a few hundred.
A Frigate if it was non-Capsuleer Piloted Would have 20 to 40.

I agree. With the amount of systems needed to control. the numbers of crew would go up exponetialy as you go to larger and larger ships. ----- For the state!

I remember in some of the stats ccp released early some of the battleships had around 6000 crew. So for a battlecruiser I think it would be fair for around 1500-2000?

Someone's posted these official CCP figures in another thread:
Megathron 6900 Dominix 6200 Iteron I 90 Thorax 660 Vexor 580 Tristan 1 Punisher 3 Maller 800 Auguror 520 Raven 7400 Scorpion 6400 Osprey 770 Moa 650 Badger 150 Rupture 620
There aren't any BCs listed, but given a cruiser has around 700-ish crew and BCs are technically heavy cruisers, I'd say about 1000-1200 crew at most. Minmatar ships have a reputation for being relatively low-tech, so they're likely to have crews towards the higher end of the scale, while Caldari with their reliance on technology, would have smaller crew complements.

I think those numbers are accurate in terms of size... but in terms of context, mankind has waged for thousands of years trying to survive and finally stood up and then what happened? Slavery... war... more dead people. Caldari/gallente war, amarr/matar, and all those war itd take 2 pages to talk about. Thats makes a lot of dead bodies floating in space my friend and think at this point in Humanity... our space ship are meant for a lot of people but seems really empty. You'd keep only the necessary crew (officers, specialists) and the rest would be Androids or just computer operated consoles linked to your brain.
