Shoeless Joe	Posted - 2007.04.18 20:17:00 - [1] OK i was mining this morning and i had to go to the bathroom so i figuerd i would be OK but wen i came back i was almost dead from some rats that had poped in and i had only ben gone for a few minuets so i should have ben safe but i got poped antways so i got to thinkin if their was a AFK button i could press and be safe for five minuets but mabey jus not make any new commands so if i was on atuopilot i would keep flying or if i was mining i would kep mining but not be able to do anything else that way i could go to the bathroom or maybe take out the trash and not haev to find somewehre to dock or safespot or watev and my firneds think its a great idea and so do i because soemtimes you jus have to get up and do sumthin so wat do you guys think?

Player is mining away when hostiles turn up, player then presses AFK button and waits for reinforcements to show up, hostiles lock player and get the on-screen warning "We're sorry, the ship you're targetting isn't really here as the pilot has had to go to the bathroom, so we can't let you attack it, please try again in 5 minutes" Eve is a real-time game, if you're afk in space then you take the chance of being attacked, easy answer is bookmark the roid you're mining at, go and dock (assuming there's a station) and then warp back to bookmark, much safer than afk'ing imho On the other hand it would be nice to have an afk setting for the chat windows as other people have mentioned. On the other hand it would be nice to have an AFK flag for chat windows as other people have suggested It's not often I'm wrong, apart from the comments I make in the signature, and then I'm often wrong. On the other hand maybe I'm getting confused. ......My head hurts :(
