I have always figured "bah these eve ships seem so small" but I got to thinking - 425mm rail guns??? Thats freaking huge - and seeing how they travel across a distance of 250km nearly instantly thats massive amounts of energy surely enough to completly obliterate any modern day vehicle or structure. And the death-star style shock wave emitting for miles from a torpedo detonations - maybe thats on par with a modern nuke? The ships themselves seem to be a few hundred meters in length on the large end (non-capital) which is pretty big but not gigantic.
Just reflecting on my recent revelation on the scale of the vehicles and weapons in the game. Has this hit anyone else? The game doesn't project scale very well in its current state because of it's limited graphical detail.

Many people talk about the minmatar launching cars from their guns.
Yeah it's pretty big, but when you look at it because you're at such a perspective as you are, it doesn't seem that way.

Bigger things are just insane.
The naglafar fires shells the size of freight trucks.

iirc, the rifter is the size of a 747
most battlecruisers are slightly smaller than a Galaxy Class starship
most battleships are the same size as Imperial Star Destroyers

A Rifter is about 65 meters long.
A Tempest is about 1000 meters (1 Kilometer) long.
A small station (NPC) is about 35 km across.
Or for imperial units:
A Rifter is about 215 feet long.
A Tempest is about 0.6 miles long (around 3800 feet).
A small station is about 22 miles across.
Hope that helps a bit with visualising the sizes.
