Ok I understand that refiners now have to do agent missions to help maximise our refining skills... So I do loads of mind numbing missions until I get the level 2 agents. And for ever step I take forward in standing I have to take 2 back because the stupid agents keep asking for trade items that are just not available in Fountain.
Now to proceed I have to go to empire space... get loads of damn trade goods that I'm not sure I'm going to need.
When people moaned about having to do agent missions no matter what your calling I thought "hmmm ok... just another job to do" but when it screws you over like this and gives you missions you cant complete in under 80 jumps it's just stupid. -------------------------------------------

Can you make a list of at least some stuff they ask for, here? If there's demand, the supply is quite likely to follow. ;s

What corp are you running for? I don't think I have ever had a mission that asked me to buy stuff on the open market (other than the homeless mission of course).

People are whinning equally or more as you are doing, buy viceversa. They cannot get rid of their carbon, antibiotics ...
For carbon: pick up an indy with good CE's and go to derelik... they are gooood miners.
And you can do the same with other goods. What I hate is people complaining they cannot do things they actually can do.
On the other side, I think it's pretty dumb if a pirate agent is asking you 90% of his time for courier missions, specially since fountain only have 4-5 stations, and if the dev implemented into the code that you have to go to Hophib in order to pick up stuff and deliver it to mn5n... not interesting feature... |

The missions should be at lease doable like in the rest of the silly universe. If they want us to get items then they should at least make it so that we can get them on the market within a reasonable distance.
Up to now I've had no real complaint about Castor... unfortunatly this has got to be an oversight by the devs. All I want to do is be a refiner not a galactic tour guide heh. -------------------------------------------

Bah my agent for Archangels is worse.
The only level 1 agent not in curse, and he's -19.
So far I've done a tonne of missions for him, and it's hardly increased my faction at all.
I need 2.8 for the next agent in Fountain.
At 0.00607 per combat mission, and 0.00295 per cargo mission that is an amazing number of missions for this agent just to move up to the level 2.
Nothing to see here .... move along. |

Change to another corp. That's the only way. I did that a few days ago, the difference in standing change is amazing.

I did a run to empire to get some trade good.. took ages though and guess what.. the first thing the agent asked for was what I didnt have. heh.
But I managed to fulfill a few more missions...
Only downside is it took me about 6 hours to get the stuff. -------------------------------------------

You might wanna let Zrakor or Papa Smurf know, I thought they said that almost all Trade missions had been replaced with Courier of said goods from one location to another.
Might be a wee bugg-ette

And here comes teamwork/corporation teamwork jump in, have 1 guy haul all possible goods needed from empire to fountain and dump them in the corp hangars for the people to use. __________________________

I have done missions in Fountain for the last 4 days and pushed my faction with Salvations to 7.43 - whilst the lack of goods in Fountain is a distinct disadvantage it is by no means impossible - I know i wasnt the only one doing missions there for rewards so it can be done it jst takes some time

lol teamwork? what reward do you get? its called a waste of time... it doesnt mean that everyone doing X type of agents need teamwork all it means as these agents suck and there not fair...
people are at a disadvantage doing these vs say empire ones... you call that teamwork? support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

"lol teamwork? what reward do you get?"
With every mission done the standing of your corporation with the given NPC corporation/faction goes up, too. Giving everyone in the corporation access to the better quality agents. (and once it's implemented the better refining results, lower jumpgate tolls etc.)
It's one of rare cases where the whole corporation definitely benefits from the coordinated work of the few.

Supplies could flow in, but the FA goons are a bit happy. Can still sneak it in though, profit would be worth it.

I thought that the corp standing means nothing att, thats what everyone was saying, other wise would have access to much higher agents in some cases because of my corp but it isnt true, and the refining % seems to be only your own standing...
SO if that is true there is no teamwork, everything you do is for your self, maybe later one day but that will be so far out that it really doesnt matter att. support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo
