I've had somewhat of a weird revelation last couple of days, that something scary is going on in my head, let me explain:
For around 6 months now, i check the clock on my windows taskbar at work, as i'm sure most people do. I check it a handful of times a day, as you all know checking the time often makes the day drag. However, everyday i check it at mid-day, the clock reads the exact same time. It's been happening since shortly after i got into CAD with my last job and continues today with my new place...
..Whats really odd is that it reads "13:37". Everyday, without fail, for like over 6 months. This only happens when i check the time on a pc, even at home on weekends.
When it first started i was still pretty addicted to MMO's; could this be some sort of sub-conscious effect of years of l33t speak?
It's been documented with sleep, you know, when sometimes you wake up just minutes before your alarm goes off (which i do often), as your body has some kind of clock.
It kinda reminded me of that film 'Groundhog day', where Bill Murray is stuck in a daily loop that never ends, which got me thinking...
..Over this period, i've had girlfriends that seem to be the same, each lasting exactly 2 months each. I go to the same pubs and have the same conversations, with a real sense of deja vu, where i often go "yeh, i know.."
Then i thought.."Hang on, thats about the time i came back to EvE". The training loop, the endless cycle, training skills with no end in sight, mining cycles that go on and on. Has EvE trained my mind to do everything in cycles? Has the repetition carried over to real-life?
Is my mind trying to re-enact Groundhog day? When will i be free?!
Even though this is wrote in a tongue n cheek fashion, it's all true...self reflection really is scary sometimes

I only check my windows clock once in a while, but for some reason, for the last week or so I've checked it at exactly 4:04pm every day.
