As you can read in the Title i'd like to know how many customers EVE actually has?
haven't been able to find it anywhere on the website

I think its somewhere between 120 and 150k paid accounts..
(DISCLAIMER - The following is pure speculation)
So with a 1-to-3 ratio of live bodies to account, that makes it 40 to 50k, now subtract the macro miners and you have 30 to 40k 'real' people who play....

120k-150k sounds like a good shot at active accounts.
However, I'd say that about half of those are 'double-accounts' (people with two accounts) and maybe one in fifteen would be with triple accounts and only a handful would have four account (yeah, I know, those don't have a RL!). As with the previous post, a estimate guess would be around 50-60k unique users with around half that active at peak times.

During the live dev blog yesterday, I think I heard them mention 170k active.

I believe Oveur has stated that 80% of the population have single accounts. Although now that we have GTCs, thats probably a bit harder to track.

The current total of accounts is 180k, and thats unique players. Current record for number of players online at once is approx. 34k.
