Med 100MN Afterburner II Sensor Booster I Optical Tracking Computer I Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Low Magnetic Vortex Stabilizer I N-Type Explosive Hardener I N-Type Kinetic Hardener I N-Type Thermic Hardener I Type-D Power Core Modification: Reaction Control Large 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I
Rigs Ancillary Current Router I Auxiliary Nano Pump I Auxiliary Nano Pump I
This load out is all set up in quickfit atm, and the best I can do with my skills, rigs are already in place tho. Any opinions or ideas on where to improve?
Thanks

What range do you expect with that load-out?
It doesn't seem to me that you can do a lot of damage, and you definately need a tackler - how are you going to use the ship? - I'm a nice guy!! and OMG I love Team Tuxford for the speedbalancing... |

Edited by: Marquis Dean on 19/04/2007 13:36:59 I'm sure it'll shoot far but it won't kill anything. tbh you're gonna struggle to kill a T1 cruiser with that fitting. I know that you said this is the best your skills can manage, but you need T2 hybrids at the absolute least, otherwise you're just not going to do anything useful, and you may sa well bring a different ship.
Here's a minimum setup:
8 x 425mm II w/Spike
2 x Sensor Booster (best named/T2) 2 x Tracking Computer (best named/T2) 1 x Med Cap Booster w/800s
1 x MAR II 2 x EANM II 1 x DC (best named/T2) 2 x Mag Stab II
Rigs: to get the above to fit.
I know T2 Large guns take a long time, but you're not going to be an effective sniper until you have them. Alternatively, fly a different role in your gang.

Don't know if it will fit but the standard sniping setup for anyship is:
Highs: 425 Mids: sensor boosters and tracking comps Lows: mag stabs, tracking enhancer, rep (after battle if needed)
All tech 2 of course

With the shortest range of any Gallente battleship, are you sure you want to use the hyperion as a sniper?
Also, why Lead instead of Tungsten or Iron?

use a rokh for sniping. Gets far better range, and a tank while doing it.

Use a 100MN burner and load in some Partial Conversion speed mods, and with a couple IV and V nav skills, you should be able to peg nearly 600m/s. More than enough to pull WAY out of range of most missile spammers in encounter missions.
If you want a mission snipership, go Tungsten and work around 120-150km from your primary target. That is beyond the reach of all but the most retardedly juiced NPC ships that the Devs love to put in just to **** off people who want to snipe. Carry a few hundred rounds of something heavy for when you get within 70km. And yes, you CAN change ammo in missions, no different than swapping missile types.
This is my sig, there are many others just like it. With me, my sig is worthless. Without (or with even) my sig, I am worthless... |

Let's think of some reasons why fitting a cloak and a sniping setup is possibly quote dumb.

Although I think there's a pretty good chance that when he says "cloaker" he means a "cloaked cov op ship in your gang" not "cloaking device on your ship". Cloaking ships are bleeding useful for finding the enemy and doing warp in spots for sniping ships.
