I would like to warn all traders and ask the GM's to fix somthing please.
I have run across a rather sinister bug that if you are not awake you will pay hundredfold for the items you buy.
when you have the grouplist window open you will be told for example that best price on water is 40, if you hit buy it will have the 40 listed ass normal but a second number small and raised (mathematical term is to the power of).
If you are awake you will easily see the second raised number.
if the above 40 had a raised 40 that would however spell out to cost 4040 isk, 101 times as much as the price shown in grouplist and mathematically very wrong (should be 1.2089E64, its 40 times itself 40 times).
If you use details for your purchases its not a big deal as it shows as the real sale value there.
Now, I have bugreported this and suplies a few locations where I have found such uses of the market, I would most definently deam this an explot as the math is not functioning corectly.
I hope the GM's fix this pronto and give the players who abuse such an obvious bug a warning.

Obvious bug don't drink. It's 1/100 isks. 40 isk 40 "cent" is written as 40^40 in EVE.

how com the detailed window shows it as 4040 isk then?
As I have goten more or less the same reply on patch review I guess I will have to buy one unit of the stuff to find out if its the detailed or general window that is bugged :)

ONe possible answer is that when you open the details window you don't necessarily see the "lowest Price". The offers with fractions display at the end of the offering list even though they may be lower than many of the offerings listed above them. Thus if you see veld offered at 0 in the market window and open details to see the 0.99 offer you have to scroll to the bottom of the screen. Which normally would be the highest offers for the item. If you can catch me you can have me. |

Ademitedly I have still not bought any one item to check the actual numbers BUT...
If 40^40 in reality meens 40 isk and 40 miniisk (eq of cents, śre, shilling...)then why arent the numbers desplayed mathematicly correct?
40 40/100 would be acceptable or even better 40,40 or the US way 40.40
I will be buying one unit of the stuff as soon as I log in just to check the actual price I get to pay and also to get a name of a person who uses this just in case its a bug.
And if I have jumped the gun and am in the wrong I will naturally come on and admit it :)

Wll I just bought a unit of spirits in heimatar.
I stand corrected, despite the unit being priced at 99^99 the cost came back as 100, a correct value if the price was 99,99 isk.
I have now noticed that it displays differently in most sources however, I have thus found all the following prices listed: 9999 isk 99^99 isk 99.99 isk
Personally I would prefer 99.99 as this is the mathematicly correct value or possibly 99 99/100 as that too will be mathematicly correct.
In any case, I hope they fix the display error in the grouplist window as it there displays as 9999 wich is completely wrong.

I think the most irritating parts of the new patch regarding trade are that those new "fractional" prices get sorted out of numerical order, so sorting on price does not work any more; and that trying to do trade runs sucks because there aren't enough big available supplies or demands any more to make it profitable.
