Now that tier2 BC's are out, and they rule, it'd be nice to change the tier2 command ships to the same hull as the t1 variants. ---------------------------------------- Friends Forever

I aggree with the OP
For the most part, the Tier two BCs are set up for more damage, so they should seriously consider changing the Field Comand Ship model to it. Besides, most of the Tier two BCs are outgunned by the Field Ships anyways, so it does make sense.

hi guys i think the command ships should be left the way they are. they look sexy as. also here's an idea for the drake hull. Plse ont go omg how many bonus' it has four and a role just like everything else. ( if this is in the wrong place sorry)
NAME: Kite Hull: Drake Role: Force command Ship
Born from the best minds in the caldari navy, and tested by group 6( aka the badgers). the Kite was designed to enter hostile space and survive. With the ability to use the covert ops cloaking device and its speacialy designed cynosural field subsystems, the kite is able to maneuver through unsafe space to deliver multiple jump points for capital fleets.
Developer: Ishukone / caldari special forces group 6
Ishukone with their state of the art sheild systems have really pulled out all the stops on this ship design. Utiliseing every possilbe watt and gigybyte of the kites primary systems to finally make a covert ops ship, with a punch.
Group 6 have a untarnished record within navel circles for outstanding and precise performance. with over 2000 hours and 6 missions now under the kite's belt, its finally ready for full scale prodution.
Caldari Battle cruiser skill bonus: 5% bonus to heavy missile Kinetic damage and 5% bonus to heavy missile precision per level
Recon ships skill bonus: 10% bonus to ECM target jammer strength per level
Command Ships Skill Bonus: 16% reduction in cynosural field duration.
Role Bonus: 99% reduction in Warfare Link module CPU need and 200-unit reduction in liquid ozone consumption for cynosural field generation

What bonus are you talking about?
Both Tier 1 and 2 Battlecruisers give a 99% reduction in the CPU need of Warfare Link Modules. What other bonus is there except the Battlecuiser Skill Bonus?

I don't think we need to swap the fleet commands over to Tier 2 BC hulls for one big reason. When you fit a ship, you earn skills towards those fittings. If you want to ROCK a ferox, you amp up hybrid skills. If you want to rock a drake, you train missiles. You CAN mix and match but the ship is aimed at one or the other. Just like you CAN armor tank a caldari ship- but why would you? If you're used to flying an Eos (worse example I know) or a Vulture, you don't want to log in and suddenly have totally different slot setups to work out. You bought your Damnation and kitted her for longer range, long-lasting engagements. Not close-in quick in and out.
You get the idea.
I DO think that it would be cool to have a T2 variant of the tier 2 BCs. But as there are already T2 BCs, I want T2 Battleships :-) Gimme something between a raven and a phoenix. But I'm not hijacking your thread. I just disagree with you. ------ Pain is weakness leaving the body.

I guess some people can't figure out that you can change a model of a ship without changing its stats. But even if you take in consideration of their current stats...
A Nighthawk has 6 Launchers and 1 Turret hardpoints. How different is that from a Drake's which has 7 Launchers?
A Sleipnir has 7 Turret and 3 Launcher hardpoints. How different is that from a Hurricane's 6 Turret and 3 Launcher hardpoints?
An Absolution has 6 Turret and 1 Launcher hardpoints. How different is that from a Harbinger's 7 Turret hardpoints?
In regard to the Eos and Astarte though, I would reverse it. I would leave the Brutix hull as the Field Command Ship and make the Myrmidon the Fleet Command Ship, to keep the general idea of the hulls but,...
Again, You can change the "Model" of a ship without changing any stats or requirements.

I think your missing the point, it wouldnt be taking over from a ship class it would be a new one like the implamentation of T3 ect. the field comand ship is in line with the hac not the bc its self forinstance each command gets a +1 to turrets or launchers (well except the NH but that got some dev love with its ROF bonus post revalations) the other version of the command ship is the field that take sa totaly difrent root path through logistics and have stats that back that up . the idea that noc is coming up with would be EW and would be following on from logicstcs and recon and wouldnt be in line with a command ship as well.. it wouldnt be one in the first place. this would be like when they implamented t2 and implamented command ships recons ect ,
this would be .... THE NEXT LVL
