Hi everyone, I've been doing quite some invention lately and I've come along something strange:
- in a station, for modules, I had 100% success - in a station, for ships, I had 100% success - in the POS, on ships, I have had no successes yet
almost every time i used the chance increasing decryptor
any clues ?
Thx, Amorion Koth

We need specifics. Are we talking 5 jobs of each or 100 jobs.
With numbers lower than 10 there is nothing that seems strange here. If we talk 25+ jobs, then there might be an issue.

Just had a successful invention attempt using a POS (+9 decryptor) so seems to be working fine.
The only bug i can see with POS is you cannot remote invent (it doesnt seem to find the decryptors), other than that they seem to be working fine.

Maybe the decryptors need to be in the appropriate POS hangar ? (assuming you didn't try that already)

Edited by: Aykido on 23/04/2007 11:58:43 If you want to remote invent at a POS, this is the only way:
In a single hangar at the POS lab you need: Interface to be used Datacores for the job(s) decryptors (if these are to be used) base items (if these are to be used) one BPC for every type of job you plan to use (this is a proxy not used in the invention so can be one run)
At an in-system station you need: All the BPCs to be used in invention jobs (preferably max run, unless you are doing ship/rig invention and not using a run enhancer).
For ship invention you also need an alt/corp mate to haul the ships to the POS if these are to be used as base-items.
After hundreds of jobs we have normal success rates at our POS and 50% shorter invention times

My record is 19 faild ship invention jobs in a row using 0.4x decryptor. Also with the same setup I managed to get 3/9 as well.
You need a LOT of attempts to see a proper average so 5 fails in a row doesn't sound even the slightest odd to me.
Screw t3. I'm waiting for t20. Just like t2, but it's free. - xArmagedunx |
