Umm how does a cormorant pop inties at 180km? I'd really like to know.
Range also let you get away with using t1 guns where as everyone else have to use t2 to get comparable range.
If your not using T2 guns theres almost no point. Your dps will be pitiful, the 3% per level specialization skill is the only saving you from the epitome of assaul ship dps.
And my point with the cormorant was, you can hit at near 100km with a t1 ship that costs 1mil. As opposed to a t2 eagle which is in the upwards of 80mil. Id rather have 2-3 cormorants focusing fire and killing inties for 10mil than 1 eagle popping inties for 80.
(Im trying to secretly get caldari boosted. Work with me.)

i find it kinda funny that people are still arguing that amarr don't need a boost
the dev's have already acknowledged that there is a problem so like

You dont get it. You can get away with using t1 guns on a rokh and still do decent DPS at 180km. And specilization is 2%, not 3.

The eagle can do it from 200km, try again.

I never said eagles cant shoot at 200km, just saying it costs 80x less with a cormorant. And its very nice you can get good dps out a rokh with t1 guns, except megathron can do it better. Oh wait..so can an Abaddon, and possibly an Armageddon.
Sure you can do nice dps, but when most other races can do the same or better, makes the Rokh look a bit..unamazing. And in terms of the other rail snipers, like Eagle or Ferox, you find pitiful dps in comparison.
Cormorant cant shoot at shoot at 200km no, but whos going to really lock a destroyer and shoot at it over a battleship? Gives you an edge when your getting closer. Most people in fleet battles dont go down the overview right clicking to see what ship types there are, you just lock the biggest target in your range and open fire.
Or if your paying attention you fire at the primary target.

No you cant. The abaddon nor the geddon can achieve standard BS fleet ranges with t1 ammo. And you'd have to use iron on the mega, which is far worse dps than the rokh, which can use higher damage ammo. This is all non-t2.

They cant, as shown above.

Blaster eagle does more dps than pulse zealot, rail eagle way outranges beam zealot. Try again.

Most fleet engagements will be long over by the time you crawl to optimal from 200 km in a dessie.

Yes with T1 ammo you outdamage an Abaddon. Very nice..with T2 (the norm for fleet battles tbh) its a different story. Same for the megathron. Why anyone would use t1 guns is a bit over me, but everyone to themselves.
And a cormorant with an mwd goes rather fast tbh...

Amarr uses more cap than Minmatar on account of using cap to fire guns yet Minmatar ships usually have more highslots availble for nos fitting. Minmatar ships can often fit full rack of guns and still have slots availble for nos.
Not asking for Minmatar nerf, but since Tux is redoing Amarr sometime next decade maybe he could think about it? Amarr needs nos more than most.
Right because nos is the only way to get cap.

Yeah, nos isn't the only way to get cap. You can just put a cap injector in your spare midslot right? I mean, everyone has those on thier (minmatar) ships!
The Gallente ideals of Freedom, Liberty and Equality will be met by the Amarr realities of Lasers, Armor and Battleships. |

Unlike amarr whos optimal is OUTSIDE scramble range? -------------------- '\0/\0/\0/\0/\0/' Cant we all just get along?

Im not sure what your nabbing at really...I was pointing out that with such low dps at that range, you cant stop a well tanked cruiser from warping, and you definately cant kill a well tanked cruiser.
(With rails is what im talking about.)

The fact that targets can warp out? 150km or 40 it doesnt matter as its all out of scrambling range.

There isnt a single battleship in the game that can kill a "well tanked cruiser" before it warps from outside scramble range. Dont be stupid.
Its called having a tacker.
