I started as an Alpha around 1.5 months ago and have been seeing this offer to upgrade to Omega for $8.33 per month if you sign up for 6 or 12 months. I was hoping to sign up for that today but cannot find the page with the offer anymore.
I also tried clicking on "upgrade to Omega" inside the game client but the rate is $11.95 per month for 6 month instead. Is the offer gone? Or is it just glitching for me? Or some special page that I have to go to? |

Promotions come and go. The current promotion is some "free" multiple character training with a multi-month subscription at regular price. A good deal if you have (or want) an ALT that needs some training.
The discount for new accounts (or first time Alpha upgrades) will be back. No one but CCP marketing knows exactly when. |

Yes it was a one time deal per account. I have never sub for Omega before. |

Edit: I'm actually surprised CCP doesn't make this offer permanent given that it's only available to first time subscribers. I'd even sweeten the offer with a few cosmetic goodies.
I see. Thanks!
Yeah, I am surprised the deal wasn't permanent too.
I am not sure the multiple character training would be attractive to very new players like me. |

I don't mean to say alts are useless. I mean to say a subscribed / multiple training alt is not really attractive to a very new player like me. Since we won't know enough "elite-EVE" at the moment to need to have an Omega alt. |

It looks like the offer is back or maybe we were looking in the wrong place - it even includes some goodies.

That looks like an old page that I can't get to from any official link. I don't think it will work.
Also, I submitted a support ticket, and a GM confirmed that the $8.33 month has been replaced by the regular price + multiple training offer, at least for the time being. |

The $8.33 / mth for new accounts is BACK!
"Add Game Time" does not bring you to the page. That is for repeat subscribers.
The surest way I know I getting to the offer is clicking on "Upgrade to Omega" in the client after hovering over an Omega skill or equipment for example. |

Also, multiple character training is just as expensive as a second account but doesn't allow you to have both your main and your alt logged in at the same time. So it's actually an utterly terrible feature for new players. If anything they'd profit from a second account that they can use to scout, trade or PVP with while remaining logged in on their main.
I never understood why anyone in their right mind would pay the same amount of money or ISK for multiple character training when it only has disadvantages compared to a second "real" account.
Sure, I won't say no to the free 120 days that I got for extending my accounts by a year each (which I would have done anyway) but it's really only helpful for people that already have multiple accounts and simply want to train an extra PI/non-combat/whatever alt.

it depends on the situation. my jita alt w/ decent trading skills doesn't need to be subbed all the time (given that i don't know which trading skills are available to alphas) and i prefer it together in my main/this character's account, so i used an MTC to train my jita alt as not to disturb Nat's training.
