this isnt wow dude we dont have ghosts we have pods and its called being podded also ore theft happens all the time adapt or die thats all i gotta say

Learn from that. Assume everyone in Eve has no sense of right or wrong, until they've proved to you otherwise.
Once they've absolutely proved they are good guys you are safe.
You then know they definitely have no sense of right or wrong and you just need to work out how they are trying to scam you.

I used to be an ore thief before my sec dropped to below -5, it's damn good fun and combined with a few blueprints gave me free ammo for ages.... and watching an Osprey pilot go "wtf" in local when he tries to destroy your shield tanked Battle Badger then realise he's into structure is funny as hell - badgerbadgerbadger 4TW!

If by ghost you mean kill, I hope you arent fibbing. Our corp has gotten several easy killmails from retard hulk/retriever pilots that engage thinking LIGHT DRONES FTW.

Hey, you're right. I'll give you that, I should have had my hauler there or an anchor - but it still isn't a very nice thing to do.
Let me clarify the intentions behind my original post if I may go OOC for a second: I have no problem with ore thieves being in the game... None at all. In fact, if there is some movement to remove such things, I would not like it or support it. Look at my post as reporting a crime, nothing more.
That said, stealing ore from a jet can is legal, but is frowned upon by some. I posted this to get the guys name out there for other players (those that may be small-time casual miners such as myself) to beware. That is all, nothing else. I did not intend for this to become a flame fest, and I am not up here to be a whiner, either. If I were to go steal your stuff in the same type area, I would expect similar treatment. BTW I had this in General discussion because I was looking for a dialog but I guess CCP had other ideas. Oh well. Peace.

People dont say "ghost" in WoW. The terms are "kill" and "Spirit Rez" or simply "Rez".

Just keep in mind, to the hard core full time player, a corp thief is a big deal (as it should be). For the part-time little man miner just getting his fix, an ore thief is just as big of a deal. Some of the little guys (like myself), may only get one or two Badger II loads of ore per month or less, so when it gets stolen, it kind of sucks. Both situations are just bad for business (they do make things interesting, though).
I, personally, will try to minimize my jet can mining, just to stay profitable (although that is difficult when I am solo and only have 30 minutes or so to play) and so the thieves can't get to me. But that doesn't mean I won't do it at all. And when my ore does get stolen, I (Santori) won't be happy, and I'll post another name .
I'm not trying to dissuade the practice of ore thievery, just get the names out there.
But, that said (long winded, sorry), I agree. If this becomes common practice, it should have its own thread.
