Seriously, these little buggers work and itGÇÖs a lot of fun! The Inglourious Bastards have tested the inexpensive yet effective fit over the last few weeks and have caused all kinds of trouble for CODE. & Co. Here is the most recent case.
So if you want to participate here is what you need to do:
GÇóCreate a vigilante alt, one you wonGÇÖt be worried about losing security status with. I recommend creating a separate alpha clone account, then you can have 3 vigilante clones! Make sure your vigilante clone(s) are Gallente.
GÇóNo need to train in any skills, they are ready to fly straight out of the vat.
GÇóBut if you want to train you can train in Electronic Warfare, Long Distance Jamming, and Signal Dispersion.
GÇóMake sure you link your account to zkillboard. So we can verify that your kills.
GÇóWhen your clone is created shoot me an email, IGÇÖll contract you your first atron.
GÇóJoin our channel: Anti-ganking
GÇóSet the Goonswarm Federation, CODE., and Gimme Da Loot alliances as red.
GÇóMove your clone to Jita.
GÇóWhen Burn Jita starts, go to where the freighters are being bumped, orbit the freighter at 20 km. Pulse your mwd as needed, but save some cap for your burst module. Keep an eye on local. Make sure your safety is set to red.
GÇóWhen the gank fleet arrives in system tighten your orbit to 1000 meters, or head directly for the freighter. Overheat your ECM Burst module.
GÇóWhen the big red blob lands on top of you, hit the ECM burst, then sit back and watch the chaos ensue.
GÇóWhen you need a new ship, members of the HSM in the anti-ganking channel will get you another atron! Just mention it in channel along with all your kills.
GÇóWhen your security status drops too far you can switch to one of your other characters.
GÇóWhen Burn Jita is over be sure to save your new vigilante alt(s) for a future of ratting in Lowsec, wormhole exploration, Nullsec, or even a fulfilling career in ganker scout hunting.

Thanks for your concern. I don't plan on deleting or even neglecting any alts of mine. Nor do I recommend anyone else to do the same. I deeply believe that High Sec would be a safer place if everyone had a vigilante alt!

I do occasionally shoot at suicide gankers, but that's more about lulz and collecting bounties, not opposition to suicide ganking.
I have, however, made quite an enjoyable pasttime out of popping cheap killrights on ships being flown dangerously to remind folks that Hisec isn't safe.

The most important item in the thread is that yet another operative (a secret agent no less) has inadvertently revealed his true colors on accident. Bronson has been an avid AG leader for years, but has accidentally shown his true AG colors subsequently forfeiting all the respect, love and street cred he had acquired while acting as a C&P mole. I am truly saddened.
Out of respect for the actual good he has done for the game in his mole capacity, I will recommend that the court of C&P overlook his transgressions and through penance allow him regain his status on this forum section. For crimes of this magnitude and to prove that he actually belongs in the C&P flock, I recommend the high court fine Bronson 1 thanatos carrier (payable in full to me for disbursement as a prize in some sort of whacky contest down the road).
This act of contrition will prove where his loyalty lies. |

Well played. I've not seen such a fine act of forum warrioring since my heady days as Thunderdome champ.
In my defense, I would like point out that I did actually donate a Thanatos to the winner of the most recent C&P Thunderdome, unlike certain posers who have, even years later, never made good on their word. As such, I suspect that my place among the denizens of C&P is secure, but I shall, of course, abide by the court's ruling.

1. Citadels in null drop loot in lieu of that space magic teleportation crap they miscoded into them and haven't gotten around to fixing.
2. Local is removed from null and delayed in LS. From a lore standpoint it only makes sense that less (LS) or no (SOV nullsec) CONCORD control directly affects how local chat works. Sure if you talk in local it shows up, but until you break radio silence - no free intel.
Current mechanics have made it more or less unplayable for me. |

With only 3 hours to go the tally stands at 636 billion ISK destroyed.
I'd like to thank bot-aspirant freighter pilots for not reading the news, especially the ones who donated more than once, and the anti-gankers for failing non-stop daily.

Good fight! I'll agree that you are tenacious. It's impressive that you guys maintained a presence for much of the weekend in the face of such overwhelming odds. You clearly feel strongly about your cause because anybody else would have gone home.
The ECM burst effectiveness was probably a bit pretty disappointing to you. That's the special technique you were banking your hopes on which we countered with ECCM and awareness. The burst effect was noticeable in a couple of cases though, and was most effective when it was unexpected. We also noticed the dramatic effect it had on sec status of your burst pilots.
We of course believe that any pilot so out of touch with his community as to undock a freighter during a Burn event is unfit to fly a ship. The Goons who are less familiar with highsec couldn't get over how freighters kept flying straight into our nets the whole time.
We destroyed somewhere north of 170 freighters this weekend. The twilight hours of BJ proved fruitful and we far exceeded our ISK goal. We expect the final tally to reach between 750 and 800 billion ISK destroyed once all the capsules and other fringe kills are added up, making this the most destructive Burn event to date. |

Burn Jita exceeded an - ambitiously set - target of 600B by 25%. The fact that the gank fleet(s) had to take several breaks in order to allow the Jita node and/or Tranquility database sufficient time to recover from the load has had more impact on the number of kills achieved than any effort by AG.
The key to events like these are the organizational skills of Goons - esp. Miniluv - and CODE., as well as the tremendous effort made by the fleet support teams (scanners, bumpers, haulers). And of course it helps if sufficient F1 Monkeys show up.
Despite all the early bluster from AG, during the event they were only able to muster at most a handful of ECM atrons (I think I got jammed once after getting a few shots off) and their lack of organization further reduced the effectiveness of their interference attempts. In many ways AG are like thee 5 year old characters that still solo-mine in a retriever in the highsec asteroid belts. You can try to show them there is greater potential for gameplay in EVE, but they refuse to improve.

The majority of the "Deplorabees" alts we encouraged Goons to create were invited into a corporation to make it easier for them to see fleets and make it easy for us to track kills.

This means that we have most of the kills of Burn Jita in one place, and can look at numbers.
415 kills, including 20 jump freighters, and 177 freighters. 747 Billion ISK destroyed. There will probably be more kills found and posted over the coming days, as most of us manually post kills.
Being generous here there were less than 20 targets, and probably somewhere between 6-10 that got away and managed to reach safety the entire weekend due to some sort of interference.
That's between 3% and 11% of the freighter traffic, and between 1% and 5% of all the targets . And remember before you start trying to move the goal posts that a lot of the escapes were not due to any action of AG, but simply due to the fatigue of pilots participating in a 72 hour long marathon and making mistakes.
The only things you succeeded at are being annoying, and looking like fools, as always. You don't understand how the game works, you believed Reddit of all place about the CODE. "theft", and most of you never noticed the real story posted on INN Friday morning - people were still saying, thinking, and acting like Burn Jita was canceled halfway through the event.

I find it very hard at this point to believe that AG has any interest in helping people - if you did, you'd be trying to improve, you'd be trying to educate, and above all else, you'd make an effort to know how the game's mechanic's work.
Also, as a side note, it was hilarious to see your pilots completely destroying their sec status in a single go with an ECM burst and then killing the target anyway. Nice job. ECM's a horrible gamble in this game, it's why we don't use it in nullsec :) |

Going by your numbers,
3 saves: 3 of 177 is a 98% failure rate on your part, and one of the "saves" you linked above got ganked 10 minutes later which makes it a 99% failure rate. You sure about those other two?

No you don't have to gank to become a member of anti-ganking. Most of the guys in the High Sec Militia don't.

Ganking is the red pill.
AG have been watching gankers winning nonstop daily for four years, and now a splinter faction called the Highsec Militia has emerged. They sacrifice security status and eat killrights in order to attack ganker scouts and support ships. A few of the braver AG upped their game and joined HSM, and now distance themselves somewhat from their blue pill AG cousins.
It's emergent gameplay and is to be applauded. |
