Edited by: Ichabod Dirange on 25/04/2007 00:36:14 Hey guess what CCP, I really don't need redundant pop-ups telling me I'm engaging in an act of aggression when I try to fire my guns in 0.0. I really do need that split second to get my tank up and running, my guns firing and my drones on target.
Not that I'd gotten out of the gank but at least I wouldn't be sitting there like an idiot wondering what the other idiot was thinking coding that into 0.0 systems.

They are fine for empire/lowsec, but should be removed for 0.0. I dont want to turn off the messages b/c i dont want concordokkened in empire. But leaving them on in 0.0 makes it a pain to do some things.

You are going to be insulted a lot.
You can remove the option for them to show up in the menu (hit esc).
Quote: Also, he didnt even have a Scrambler, so the POS would have gotten away anyway.

How about a pop-up for that then, most useful info ever.
Looking, can't find the option...

Edited by: Marquis Dean on 25/04/2007 00:49:59 Next time you get the warning you can tick the box saying 'don't show again'.
That said, it is terribly annoying when I get attacked while ratting in 0.0, and I have to get past the warning to return fire against the ganksquad.
Stupid stupid stupid.

Edited by: Spenz on 25/04/2007 00:50:11 removing the popup seems like a brain-dead choice to make....until you do a mission in empire 2 months down the road, accidentally target one of the neutral structures, and get your ship popped by concord because you had no warning and no way of breaking the lock in time.
If I had an Alt I would probably post with it... |

Then again Concord shouldn't show for aggressions towards factions, faction forces should, at least then you have a Thorax' chance in a bubble to get out alive.

Think they fixed this previously... what you do is this...
You tell it not to bother you when in 0.0, fine and dandy, but say you wanan go to emire, for longer than 1 night.
Meaning you want the warning but not if you're going to be popping back and forth between 0.0 and empire on a nightly basis. Go to the ESC menu and there should be a tab to let you reset the warning popup.

This is a classic RTFM post, or it would be if there was a manual.

Why would you think about reseting it 2 months after you turned it off? Can easily slip your mind esp when you live in 0.0 for so long you almost forget that there are police in empire.
Then when you DO reset it, the only way for you to turn it off again is for you to initiate action against something 'innocent'. Of course this could be the big pvp breaker since the .5 seconds it takes you to say 'yes' could be the half second it takes for the guy to enter warp.
Forget turning it off. Forget reseting it. Forget RTF-non-existant-M. Just make it so you dont get asked in 0.0
