Since the accounting for implants in KM's the thirst for pod kills has appeared to intensified significantly. For me, one of the more fun things to do in EVE are LOL frig roams (you know you're not bringing THAT pos back.) Has the new KM reporting discouraged you from just saying WTH "Let's dooooo iiiittt!"?

I don't get how lossmails for pods put you off deliberately poorly fitting your ships. |

I think my mains corp is over a billion in implant kills since they started keeping track, half of that on one pilot. We generally use a bubble for the pod rather than a fast lock frig, but we keep a couple frigs around just for popping pods. But to be fair, that was already our protocol before the change.

like before you dont have to fit implants.
so some people might get podded more poften now but time you have plenty of playing time we dont so i also fail to see why it would reduce the way people fit their ships |

I keep blank JCs kicking around just for the sake of PvP. A podkill is just a slap on the wrist in one of those. |

Depends on how expensive is expensive for you. I fly everywhere with a 100M implant set, got 5 more in my implants can for when the inevitable podding happens. |

I still don't see the corilation between implants on KM's and the negative impact it has on frig roams.

Nope. Frigates are the way to go.
Besides, you still lose the same implants either way, if you even use them. What does it matter if they show up on a killboard? |

Killmails for pods or ships. Same deal: Killmails makes the game less fun. Why?
Because nowdays its all about how much you killed. Its about efficency, cant fight if it would hurt your efficency. All fits are basicly the same, streamlining & cookie cuttering becamse easier with the killmails. Dont get me started on the actual intel you get from intels. Oh, who ? Let me just check the kbs see if he/they killed something recently so we know the opposition. can we take it? No? Ok, lets dockup/dodge out.
Killmails lead to stagnation and less fun and more numbercrunching. With all space being more or less the same. The old players gravitating towards clusters of themselves making it even more cemented. Stagnation everywhere.

I'm sorry but what game do you play that you don't try to have the highest kill ratio possible? What game do you play where its illegal to collect intel?
Sounds like you play some ****** up games broseph.

Armored Phoenix wrote:Killmails are the biggest problem with EVE. If you're in corp A you must be on X number of killmails a month. We're fighting corp B, and we know they use Z fit, so you must fly ship B and use fit Y. Killmails ruin the PVP aspect of the game for many other people. Considering how many threads I have seen about removing killmails, I know that I am not alone in this regard.
What other game do you play that gives more than just the name of character you killed, or even just basic stats like how many people you killed? What game, when you kill another character, tells you (regardless of whether you loot them or not) EXACTLY what they had equipped, how much damage they dealt, what buffs were affecting them, and (the ultimate bullshit) what was in their inventory?
Removing killmails would actually promote PVP, as more people would be willing to go into a fight, even knowing they may lose. No one would need to worry about being humiliated for so-called "lolfits". No one could be excluded for not having enough kills. Killmails take a lot of the fun out of the game.
If you want to know what your target has fitted or in cargo, use ship and cargo scanners before you kill them. Killmails are also a big reason that people gank. I won't argue that people gank for fun or profit, but people that do it just to pad their kill/lose ratio are just pathetic. Ganking is not PVP. Ganking is the equivalent of beating up the elderly (namely, a victim that can't fight back). Removing killmails won't stop people from ganking, but it may alter the reasons that they gank.
Get rid of killmails, and bring make EVE more fun to play. Even though is my industry main, I do have PVP alts who have operated in low- and null-sec. Feel free to flame me for this, but it is my opinion, based in simple facts.
Fly safe.

feh, no reason to not have a set of +3s in at all times if you are training if that's too much for you to sweat on a pod km then stay docked up
if you have more than that either you can afford to or you're stupid, either way it looks good on the front page of Pravda The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

EVE can stil track a KD ratio without the killmails.

I can definitely see both sides of the "get rid of KM's" argument. I do think they're both a bane and a benefit to the game. What to do? vOv "The world as we know it came about through an anomaly (anomou)" (The Gospel of Philip, 1-5)-á |

Warcraft 3. League of Legends. Starcraft. Guild wars, and you dont even have to kill them to observe everything about them.
All games with WAY more players than Eve, thats off the top.
