I am not training Caldari just so I can run missions. I have invested far too much time into Gallente, armor tanking, and drones just to have my time completely wasted in the end because people were having lag in missions.
Can CCP please do something about this, PLEASE? I know this is more whining, but I think it's justified. Feel free to flame me if you don't think it is, but honestly.

Yesterday on silence the informant first stage, the elite drones at the gate showed a strange AI that I've never seen before:
Normally they were targetting me. But by time they see drones they would switch to drones immediately to kill them. I scoop the drones they target me again, I release them again and they target drones again.
Honestly I've given up on using heavy drones alltogether. Wardens seem to be the only valid drones to use in missions. I use heavies only for battleships which come very close.....easier to scoop them when they are closer.

I think that that goes under the category of missions acting more like characters, in that they want to pop drones first.
Problem is, in missions there are generally far less friendlies and far more enemies, kind of making it hard to keep drones alive. Way to go CCP - looking for more yells of Caldari Online, I see ;)
(try training railguns maybe?)

Well, I for one am glad to have drones as my #1 sp weapon system. Not.
Luckily I also have Caldari BS 5 and reasonable missile skills too, so I can still do L4s just fine. Gave up on using tech2 drones long ago, I just fill my bay with 15 light drones now and re-fill after every mish.
BTW, L3s are still doable with drones. It's only L4s that are problematic. I'm thinking I can pound out a lot more L3s in a myrm + arty + tech2 meds than I can L4s in a Raven + tech1 lights, so maybe it's time to crank it down a notch.

Yeah, I started training up my missile skills recently, as drones just got to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore. One thing I am liking, is missiles don't randomly decide to head to other targets...

Its obvious isn't it?
Need for Speed = Less Items in Space at one Time = Less Lag On the Server
Therefore: Lots of Drones = Lag = Bad!
Basically, Drones are on the way out!
