Greetings. Downloaded the game and started my 14 day trial last night. Obviously didn't get very far but I'm intrigued enough to give it a serious go.
I look forward to getting more familiar with things and trying to make a name for myself. I tend to be active on forums as well so you'll all be hearing from me whether or not we ever meet in-game.

Yeah thanks. I'm naturally paranoid so that should serve me well.
Especially with so many criminals around...from what I understand.

Welcome to EVE. Remember no where in game is totally safe. Never ever put all your eggs (belongings/money) into one basket (ship/thing). It's only paranoia if no ones out to get you. In Eve it's more of a survival instinct. Just like real life the cops are never there when you need them and always around when their not wanted/needed.

Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy yourself in EVE. What they said, and trust no one, always verify, if it seems to good to be true it is, read warning popups, don't use smartbombs in hisec, keep your clone up to date, train learning skills first, and insure your ships.

Pirates kill Pirates too. Unless your corp/alliance policy is against it "like in my case", being an anti-pirate is just limiting your options on what you can kill.
