When I first start up EVE and select my character and begin to log in it stops on the entering station part. Just to test things out I made a new character and had no problem getting started.
When I hit escape the options menu comes on screen just fine and lets me change my settings by when i close that windon is back to black. I can hear sound fine. Also if I minimize the screen the loading dock comes up for a split second bet it never stays. Any thoughts?

I am having this issue as well. I was able to login fine when I first came home. It was only after having been off for about an hour that I could no longer access beyond the black screen with the entering station box. Apparently it showed me in game and in the corp channel as well as allowing me to type but I could not see anything.
This is very frustrating as I am currently not training and am losing time.

Has anyone else been able to make a new character and log in? I was able to do this even though my main could not log in. What would cause a problem with an existing character logging in but allow a new character to be created and run thru the tutorial?

Yes, I can seem to log in with the other characters on my account. But my main is still borked up.

I'm having the same problem with my main logging in to Motsu. Another node death probably. Playing the waiting game now. Hope I can log in sometime tonight, one of my skillz is gonna be finished soon! lol

same here, was exiting station when it closed out on me. Restarted, ran client, nada. Cleared the cache, nada still. Did all the usual things, still won't go beyond the Entering Station/Black Screen. It's fun staring at a black screen with that prompt on it. I also had the same characteristic of being able to open the options menu just to be greeted by the black screen when the options window was closed.

I was going to re-log cuz the market was borked, wishing I woulda just finished my Gurista Xtrava first. lol

At least I was finished with the mission and was just salvage/looting. I'm sure all my loot will be gone by the time they fix this. Thanks CCP.

Well this is just great...
Now when I select my character to get back in...it looks like it loads...then brings me back to the same screen...I'm in a perpetual login >_<
