About how much damage do I need to make sure that my tank can handle for C4 anomalies. I'm trying to put together a 2 ship team to run C4 sites.
Thank you |

They also shoot the and neut different targets at the same time, so a 2 man team may not be the best, that said, I have seen in a thread it can be done with a basilisk and a NM repping each other. I used to solo in a Tengu with 1600dps tank before neuting, we now do them comfortably in a 4 rr tengu setup. They neut at 60km so Tengu works weel as it can project damage. You could probably do it in a carrier supporting another ship, or possibly even solo.. but I wouldn't try it myself solo in a carrier.

You **can** still solo C4 sites. It's slow and it's not pretty, but it can be done.
Two ship we use either a tengu / rattlesnake pair or 2 x tengu with local tank and fleet booster. Tengu can fairly easily tank the toughest spawns provided she's still got some cap and snake just omni-buffers slowly along.
We can build and sell pretty much every ship. Check my bio for details. Our pirate epic arc completion packages really are very good: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread |

2 RR Tengu's will cover everything except reinforcement wave 1 (3 x sleepless upholder battleships) of a Frontier Barracks in a C4.
doing it with 2 will be damn slow though.
there are also 1 radar site and 1 mag site where the last spawn is 4 sleepless upholders and 2 reasonably fit (some faction - not crazy with deadspace/officer mods) RR tengu's will not survive that due to the neuting and scram. |

C4s are easy as **** in 3 RR tengus. As a note, i know a guy who runs C5s in 3 locally tanked Tengus with a maxed out booster Tengu alt. The reason it works is the long ranges the neuting BSs spawn at in C5s so you can kill them before they hit 40km and start neuting. Not really sure about local tanking C4s since i consider them a waste of time. |

Before Sleeper neuting reappeared I did some work on Sisi and managed to complete a Frontier Barracks in a largely meta4 & T2-fitted Tengu that looked a bit like this:
[Tengu, T2 C4 solo] Damage Control II Power Diagnostic System II Ballistic Control System II Power Diagnostic System II Power Diagnostic System II
Shield Boost Amplifier II X-Large C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I Invulnerability Field II Domination Photon Scattering Field Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay Tengu Propulsion - Intercalated Nanofibers
1000dps omnitank & 65%+ cap stability will give you enough time to kill one of the 3-BS Upholder wave.
I should point out though that with 370dps, you'll be thinking about collecting your pension before you've cleared the site.
Don't bother trying in Legion or other- you need range, range, range in a C4 and the Tengu's the only boat that can put dps out far enough.
Back on topic, a pair or RR Tengus are probably your ideal setup. Sleepers switch targets, but thankfully they all switch together. So while one tengu is being neuted & dps-ed to Hell, the other can provide the logistics. You'll still need cap stability of about 50% and a decent buffer tank (100k+), but they work well.
FYI - Sleeper BS neut from 70km. Cruisers neut from 40km. The box said "Requires Windows-á2000 or better", so I installed Linux. |

You need to have approx 1400dps tank on a battleship, or about 700dps tank on a cruiser (that keeps moving). You also need to do all of this while being able to take sleeper neuting. A couple ways that I've successfully run them/seen them run:
3+ RR tengu's (cause tengu's are friggen everywhere...) 1 basi + 1+ nightmares (my favorite, it scales very well - you do need either expensive equipment or a fleet booster to make it work, and the basi needs to be logi 5 with a Pith C-Type large shield booster or better and 4 RR in the highs) 1+ rattlesnakes (the rattlesnake can tank pretty much anything, add more for more "entertainment"... alternatively use the rattlesnake as a logi with dps abilities) 2+ cap transfer marauders (cap transfers and 1400dps local tank = success, and with just 2 its probably the most dps that you can put on the field. With 3+ characters, you would generally be better with a dedicated repairer - and the only marauder I've gotten to work well like this is the vargur)
Hope this was helpful

100kEHP if you have RR. Either that or epic (omni) resists. 1400 "tank"
Drones hate RR and switch targets when you RR, so thats one of the reasons spider tanking is a big hit. I would use more than 2 ships to do a C4, because honestly, you could make more isk per hour in a C3 with 2 ships.
Also, if you are doing it with literally just 2 ships, you need to save a high slot for your probe launcher. Otherwise you are a kill mail waiting to happen. ESPECIALLY with the new bookmark system.

High slot for probe launcher is actually unneeded IMO. You should have either a scout in system cloaked, or that should be your home system that you are ratting in. Any other setup is just destined to fail (especially because of how much a PITA it is to try to scan your way out of a C4 in an unbonused ship...)

If you are in a wh and rely on dscan and not scanner probes, you are destined to fail. You will be killed by those who do not drop probes. It doesn't matter if its your hole or not.

c4 anoms put up to about 1500 raw dps (4 battleships in sis site), but most of the time it's around 1000 raw dps.
c4 mag / radar sites = 2000 raw dps (4 sleeper safeguards)
to compare c5 easiest site = 1600 raw dps
As cipher said, two pilots doing sites earn more isk / hour in c3 than c4.
in other words optimal isk/h (solo) gang: c3 -> 2 ships c4 -> 3 ships c5 -> 4 ships [i.e. 1 offgrid booster] |
