It has nothing to do with ships and modules, and any movie is purely circumstancial evidence. I would say, that if you were piloting that ship you would lose it in your first engagement. If you can afford it I don't see why there would be any reason at all to use named/t1 mods instead of faction. Its not a mistake its a choice but a choice only few can realistically live with.

Also, regarding flying speedships and privateers, if you didn't live under a rock (or well, on the forums), you'd realize that privateers was a very good invention that fixed an impressive loophole and allowed a lot of people to have a lot of fun. Same with speedships, good pvpers realize that you don't go and do roaming pvp with battleships, and that you can cover a lot more ground in speedy ships. In the big fight in the beginning, Phoenus is eventually destroyed because he runs out of cap (and cap charges), he's just killed three ravens within a few hundred metres, why not loot the wrecks and grab some more charges? Just about all Ravens have active tanks and therefore cap boosters in the hold, if so he could have carried on! ___________________
