....go get the 3.10 Catalyst drivers now. No, now. Right now.
My lockups, CTDs, Blue Screens, etc. came to a screaching halt after I installed this new driver set yesterday. I was able to play for 5 hours unmolested by PC problems.
Make sure you do a thorough uninstall of other drivers and utilities.
Aloha.

Ummm If you check the tech docs it is recommended that you use the 3.1 drivers :-)
Agreed - stops loads of CTD's and bsod errors.

I would suggest you unmod your 9500 and see if thats the problem. There is a good chance that the reason for your problems. Some 9500 were binned there because they didnt pass 9700 check.

All the mod does is open the extra four gfx piplines increasing it to 8. A failed mod would reveal artifacts.

I know what the mod does and its more then just up the pipes. I think there is also some part of the occlusion culling that get enabled which may cause problems if they are not 100% functioning. It nothing new that some moded 9500 didnt work properly. There are 3-4 things that you may still have to disable besides the 4 extra pipes.

I would just like to say that Ihave the 9800 pro and I have had no problem running the game in any enviroment until I installed Catylst 10 and now i get no end of problems so I have reverted back to 2.8 as it seems the most stable for me

Never had any stability issues with my Radeon 9700 PRO so far. Using omega cat 3.10s atm. The flickering textures on stations and stargates aren't fixed yet tho.

If you want to make eve lookprettier then add:
advancedDevice=1
To your prefs.ini
Then you'll gte extra options under the graphics menu, including 24 and 32 bit z buffers, which fixes the z fighting you get on some stations.
It dosn't fix the double sufrace problems on many ammarian stations, (and a few caldari stations).
