Lag? I don't know. Everyone keeps complaining but my computer has no trouble with it. I think most of the "lag" people are getting is just from everything getting backed up on the user's end when they jump to a place that makes thier computer render 30-40 ships each doing something unique. Maybe it is just me, but I never get lag during play. Occasionally if i'm passing through Jita or something, but otherwise it's all clear.
I run the game at medium graphics settings, so let me know: Do you lagz?!11

"Lag" is situational and doesn't strike everyone at the same time. its based on where you are, mostly.
Example: Saturday night I was peacefully mining with one account and moving another character's stuff with another. The one moving was working fine and smooth. The miner was taking up to 1 minute to fire its strip miners, in a system with 5 people in local. There was a small war going on in another system that shared that node, meaning I was feeling the same lag that they were.
Overall the game is more sluggish than it was 2 months ago and doesn't run as smoothly. It is noticeably slower than it was before Revelations released. This last patch actually seemed to help with my dual-account setup, but a single account is even slower than before. And that is at 11:00 pm when there are only 15k people on. <-----------> Keiron: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=427556&page=2

But I see what you mean about the nodes. I usually cruise around Empire so it's busy with people and everything constantly.

30+ vs 30+ = some serious lag

Dual account ALL the time. Close to half the people I know that play EvE do it. Even my laptop runs two accounts without any issues, though I wouldn't try a fleet battle on it <-----------> Keiron: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=427556&page=2

To experience the lag most people complain about head to Motsu or Jita and try to do just about anything.

as a couple of people have already mentioned, have you ever been in a large fleet battle?
20 vs 20 shouldn't lag if you're playing eve on anything more powerful than a scientific calculator, but 100 vs 100 is just a space combat slideshow.
some of it's the PC, some of it's the network connection, some of it's the server. in combination it's just painful.

not really an issue anymore on dual core processors.
i have a 3ghz single core and that struggles to run 2 clients, and a AMD 4600+ dual core one which is essentially 2x 2.4ghz processors and that runs multiple clients without any problems at all.

Indeed, I run 3 clients on my dual 2 duo laptop and they're all running very smooth.
