Yeah, I fell for it, too. (A Goon scam, not what you fell for) I was an idiot when I did and because of it I raged and quit playing the game. I wish I could tell you I had a voodoo doll with Goon written on it, but it wasn't as melodramatic as that.
A few months later I sucked it up and got back in.
It's a relentless cycle - but the only satisfaction comes by learning from your mistakes and not being a complete and total ***** every time someone does a bad thing to you.

In fact I'm going to go on ahead here and say that 90% of the EVE Online community don't know what a Goon is other than that alliance that every dumpster-dweller in the game pins their misery on. |

sad thing is that this thing probably happens a lot, and the people that it happens to more often than not leaves the game immediately.
