Employment Information with The Organized Combat Consortium
The Organized Combat Consortium is rebuilding and looking for pilots at all levels. The OCC was formed in 2005 and has gone through many changes. We have flown with the Huzzah Alliance in the Catch Region, ESA in BWF and flew solo in Curse. We have the experience and can help you too.
We focus on small gang (6-12 pilots) combat where teamwork, communication and organization are critical. But we also understand that combat requires a sound industrial base.
Combat Pilots: Experienced or new, if you like to fight, or want to learn, we want to hear from you. We will train you on how to be effective as part of a gang.
Miners/Industrialists: If you are experienced and can help us ærefineÆ our process, or if you are new and want to make some money (we will pay you to mine) we want to hear from you.
We are currently located near the Syndicate region and are negotiating access to 0.0. No Alliance Affiliation, no blob warfare, no POS warfare û small gang PvP only.
We're a regular group of guys that work hard and play hard. Our Pilot requirements are minimal:
Maturity: You are willing to work to a plan, willing to learn, and have the ability to teach (where appropriate).
Adaptability: You are comfortable living in Empire while we build our corp in preparation for our return to 0.0 space.
Flexibility: Your are willing to fly what is needed in the gang. We try to run balanced gangs.
Integrity: This is a trait we expect from our members. People do make mistakes, get angry, get discouraged, or disagree, but the OCC will not tolerate unprofessional or antagonistic behavior that is detrimental to the corp and/or corp events.
Communication: Ventrillo and/or Teamspeak with mic (for Pvp ops)
Locality: North American Time zone. Other time zones pilots will be considered on a case by case basis.
Experience: Skillpoint average for the OCC is in excess of 16 Million. You will probably have at least four million skill points, but exceptions are made. Absolutely no trial accounts will be accepted!

A bit about my pilot skills:
I specialize in Destroyers and Covert Ops ships, with my current objective being Interdictors and Recon ships.
While I can fly Battlecruisers, I can't currently fit them as well as I'd like.
The vast majority of my ~7 million skillpoints are in support skills (electronics, engineering, navigation, gunnery, missile launcher) rather than Spaceship Command. So while I can't fly a large variety of ships, what I can fly I can usually fly very well.
My game time has been about 99% PvE and 1% solo PvP. I'd like to experience (and learn to excel at) the strategy and interactions of gang PvP.
I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions.
1) Based my skills, is there a need for me in OCC?
2) Approximately how many members does OCC have?
3) What are the highpoints of the qualifications of your pilots who will be conducting your "mentorship program, including formal training"?

Hey guys - Im looking for a place to hang out. I am from the UK & have 6m SP. I have PvP experience as part of ASCN and want to fly logistics (eventually). My Cruiser skills are good, frigate is great but I dont have the BS gunnery skills. I can fly retriever for mining ops and am self sufficient and (trying) to do invention in empire but I very rarely need to actually do anything so could live in 0.0 care free. Evemail me if I line in to your way of thinking, I've had a lot of bad luck with finding a corp so my employment history is colorful.
