I am trying to organize my corporation's hanger, and I was trying to create a "folder" system for our ore, items, etc. However, it seems the game won't let me place a small container into a station container?
Is this just something that you cannot do, or am I doing something wrong?

You can't put a container within a container. It's by design, as containers can hold more than their own volume.

Ok then, thanks for taking the time to post.
However, is there someway to create a folder like system?

Unfortunately not. Only the corp hangers have any kind of "folders", but there are only 7 of them.

Not sure if this is what your after , but you can rename all your corp hanger bays..eg..ammo, ships, minerals etc etc etc..Just go to your corp icon, then home, then Divisions and rename them there...

Well, unfortunately I totally understand the division system.
But this is what I was looking after.
MANUFACTURING DIVISION > BLUEPRINTS (Station Container) > SHIP BLUEPRINTS (Some other kind of container) > Tristan Blueprint

the system could be created using naming convention.
A - 1a
A - 1b
A - 2
A - 3a
B - 1
or some variation.

ya pretty much just name stuff
i doubt you have to have a separate container for every single item so with 7 divisions and 20 containers in each you have enough for different "types" of stuff
