We encountered strong resistance, more than I expected to ever be allowed within supposedly controlled space. Following the encounter, I have dug deeper into the problem. The distribution of Rise is more organised than I ever feared. The Serpentis Corporation is behind this act, both bribing the capsuleer community for and providing their own, well-armed, well-practised escorts. My friends and I were all sent home with our tails between our legs, but with our heads held high and our resolve deepened. Residents and Friends of Placid, I ask for your assistance in bringing down this insidious threat that is Rise, once and for all. The Federation, and this Inspector Xavier's unit have proved singularly unable to cope with this. I call on all of you to lend your intelligence, combat skills and political support in putting pressure on the distribution chain, production facilities and retail. To facilitate his, I will need to collect intelligence on shipments, production and convoy movements. Report all sightings here, no matter how fleeting, or shaky they may be, all information will eventually lead us to stopping this once and for all. Together, we will hunt those responsible for Rise down, and stop them. Permanently.

Have any Fed loyalist Marshalled a Fleet to take this threat out? The answer is NO. No one wants to think about the problem out here untill they get nailed out here. Don't think we at the ILF have set by and done nothing. All attemps to open diplomatic talks with these numerous Pirate corps have proven useless. We have on ocasion atempted to fight these pirates. These pirates are very dangerous and well armed. These pirates are the reason the Intaki people must come togeather to defend there space and people. Its a hard Universe out there and few will help you. You must learn out here to rely on your friends and trust only those you know. This shouldn't be how it is! But it is. To the rest of the Freedom fighters and Anti pirate corps in Placid I say keep up the good work, God will not let your actions go unblessed. Its always darkest before the dawn and things may get worse before they get better. But if we work togeather and fight with conviction than one day Intaki could be free!

The Cyrene Initiative does what it can to fight pirates in Placid, but we're fighting an uphill battle here. We're trying our best, but we cannot be everywhere at once. If another camp materializes I recommend that you visit our corp channel "PlacidReborn" and inform us. I cannot make any promises though as our pilots have multiple duties, but if possible we will act. The same offer goes to the Illoren. I witnessed the attack on your ships but it happened too fast for us to act. If you contact us in time we can arrange an escorting fleet. DutchGunner	Posted - 2007.04.30 10:35:00 - [8] Placid is a struggle. I too fight to keep it as safe as possible for removal of outlawed parties is next to impossible. Placid is a big region to defend/keep safe. Thank god there are still enough people who are trying to keep it safe.

Now I'm not saying that your help would not be welcomed or wanted, but you can't fight to give someone else what is denied your own. I know I know I hear it all the time "But your an Amarr" I am so sick of hearing that! Who cares! We are all decendents of the same race split only by what we call each other. Yes some "Races" have done horrible things to others. Name one "Race" that hasn't. Space is tuff and if your alone than your dead! As an Amarr my beleaf in god is legand. But I have choosen to try to bring all race's back togeather so that all shall have safty and security. Stop looking at where your from and look at where your people came from. That makes you a Politcal Pirate. We as Humans should hold to the idea that we the many should protect the few, We as the strong should help the weak. Or does The high and might Durandal corp belive that diffrent life has diffrent Value? Diffrent opinions should be heard that would be the strength in a truly strong Fedaration. That our diffrence's could come togeather and become our greatest strength. Now that fed I would be proud to defend. I thank you for your retort tho, It was or could have been a great argument.

Mr Alterrian despite what you say CYI is actively fighting pirates in these places of Placid and we actively break gate camps of pirate corporations. We have been fighting over there mainly all alone against more and more pirates and so far we have a level of success. No matter how you try to spin it for the Intaki issue, that is being brought here by a minority of the pod pilot community. We are there to try and give our fellow citizens a safer environment to go around their business. But i fail to see even an attempt of co operation from your Corporation. Instead you first try to talk and close a deal with the pirates. Showing that the locals are weak and ready to bend over anyone with some guns. Shame on you and you corporation. We are here fighting and if you dare come and fight with us against the pirate menace. To come on GalNet and cry for a choice that the Intaki community themselves took (less police and Fed Navy), shows unwillingness to stand up. Most of what I said I still hold to. But my words my have been interpreted as ôIf your not part of the solution you part of the problem. ThatÆs not what I meant at all. I think that we ôThose who have a vested interest in the placid systemö need to stop fighting between ourselves and bring down the pirates or none of us will have placid, the pirates still will. We at the ILF work for a peaceful separation from the Gallente Federation. We do not want a war with the Federation and would if succession happens wish to keep a friendly status between the Gallente Federation and the newly formed Intaki government. I have no problems flying with Durandal corp. to bring down the pirates. We are all after the same thing here. A safe Intaki for all those who would be law abiding citizens. So Varus Riaz allow me to be the one who offers his hand in friendship and goodwill so that we may bring down the pirate threat in placid. After the pirate threat has been eliminated than we can resume what ever course of action that it presents itÆs self. I enjoy our debates in space. Inspector there are some misleading points within your communications. First of all no corporation is fighting each other in the Placid at least in terms of actual warfare, there is only a debate and nothing more. We are here to help the situation, and we are doing so by fighting known pirate corporation of all calibers, be it Serpentis or any other that try to harm innocent by passers or people living in Placid and follow the Federation Law. The container was salvaged, after a chase was given by a united force of various corporations and alliances ( Cyrene , Apex, 808 corp) after the call of help that was broadcasted by Mr Kuvakei. The chase took places in Placid but in systems where the presence of Federation authorities is limited only to space stations and planets and not in form of spaceship fleets. I would like also to inform you that the remaining Serpentis managed to escape by docking in a Fed Mart station. Which is a surprise since normally they shouldn't be granted docking rights. I believe you should also try to check that. And i would also like to remind you that the Rise problem is not just another Federal problem, is a problem that plagues the citizens of the Federation and Placid more specifically. The whole trafficking takes place in systems where the Federation authorities have no presence, and it falls upon us the burden to try and limit that and piracy down. Although i understand and respect the wishes of the Intaki people to have little to none presence of Federation and Concord forces within their systems, i would also urge you to either bring that problem in front of the Senate and help us to help you do your job. It was recovered from the wreck of a Lieutenant Stikiker, leader of a small Serpentis patrol that a modest Placid Militia fleet encountered a day ago. The rest of the Serpentis ran, followed closely by our fleet. They eventually went to ground in a station several jumps away, where I believe they are still in hiding. The was made possible in no small part to the actions of 25 or so pilots, all of them sick of the lack of meaningful Federation involvement in the region. The pilots of the Placid Militia fleet know who they are, and I am indebted to them for their assistance. The level of dedication, piloting and combat skills were exemplary, putting so-called professionally trained officers to shame. Inspector, your ineffectual patrols are badly-timed and lacking in proper intelligence, stopping innocents whilst letting Serpentis and their agents slip through the net. You call yourselves professionals yet your presence has failed to make a single shred of difference. The package will be retained by the Illoren for the time being, its secrets still under investigation by myself. I doubt very much would be accomplished by our meeting and you having the package, other than an unfair and unlawful detainment and scan. We, the Illoren, together with the pilots and residents of the Placid region, have started the campaign of disruption that will result in the removal of the Rise threat. We will police ourselves Inspector; take a break from the usual Federation way and do not complicate matters further.

Despite the Federations lack of involvement in the areas of Placid concerning security. Us locals have thus formed a makeshift militia to combat piracy and drug trade which plagues every part of the Placid region. Today, acting on intel from Vorada, a combined fleet, consisting of the Illoren, Cyrene Initiative, APEX Conglomerate, Strix Armaments and Defence, Lutin Group, and Durandal Organization. (Forgive me if I forgot anyone) were able to prevent a large delivery of drugs from being delivered. A group of "Cobra Squadron" Serpentis forces made up of several battleships, interceptors and cruisers had laid down a Cyno field in a remote system attempting to gate in an unknown number of capital ships. The ship generating the cyno, along with all supporting vessels were immediately destroyed. This included several high ranking military officers in the Serpentis corporation. Yet another one of the mysterious drug delivery packages was recovered from a Serpentis wreck and turned over to Vorada Kuvakei for investigation. This should serve as a warning to all Serpentis their presence and drugs will not be tolerated in the Placid region under any circumstances. My name is Corelous Alterrian, Some of you may know me, If you do, then you know that I am the Chief Diplomat Of the Intaki Liberation front. I come to the Pilots of Placid not as a Diplomat but as a fellow Pilot to address the issue of the pirate threat in the Region. We all have our own goals and many of us out here donÆt see eye-to-eye on all issues. The one thing we do have in common is our desire to conduct our affairs with out having to deal with pirates. Everyone knows that low sec is dangerous and that pirates will attack if given the chance, but how many of us have been the victim of the gate camp at Ostingele or at the Covryn gate? I would venture to say that all of our corps have lost some ships, ISK and mods. Now we at the ILF are not foolish enough to think that the pirate threat can be completely stopped, But we as a whole can bring to them the havoc that that have rout upon us. After reading the thread posted by ôVorada Kuvakeiö and debating with those who have posted replies and speaking with Mr. Saxon Hawke, CEO of the ILF, we have decided to call a Summit of all the Anti-Pirate forces in the Region to talk about what we can do as a group. As the Diplomatic commander of the ILF, I would like to see all Anti-Pirate Corps send their Diplomat and CEO to this meeting. We are working on a time and date to hold this Summit, but since we all have different times and affairs plant side I would like to hear from The CEOÆs of each corps that plan to attend.
