Oh forgot to add sniper rule thing-a-me-bob;
any bid made in the last 15mins before close of auction, will extend the end time by one hour.
eg fred bids at 1946, thus the new end time will be 2100. and if george then bids at 2059 it will carry over to 2200. etc etc.
oh and bumpage.

Everlasting auction! I lol'ed.
It will only ever go into sniper if people are willing to bid in the last minutes of the auction. And the sniper rule actually helps everybody.
--It gives me the chance to get more iskies (Which is Great and prob my main reason for using it)
--It helps the bidders, as they don't have to keep pressing refresh every 5 sec during the last few minutes of the auction.
How do you suggest the sniper rule be set-up Mr Farti?
Never the less, to keep you happy, the sniper rule shall be only half an hour extension if triggered. (better?)
And if you still want to bid on this auction I wont hold it against you :p (or you could even use an alt)
Oh and how can you insult me by belittling the sniper rule, and then end with 'friendly bump btw'. Yes its a bump (so thanks for that) but its hardly friendly. Is it?

This is a fairly standard sniping rule. I thought it was nice of him to spell it out.

soz, plz don't misunderstand me, i am all in favour of sniper rules and use them myself when i run an auction. They are a mechanism to prevent people 'picking-off' the auction right in the dying seconds. My own preference is to limit the 'snipe zone' to the last five minutes of the auction and then, if actioned, to extend the auction by 10-15 minutes. To make mine fairer, i also restrict the bidders in the extension to only those people who placed a bid on the auction before the originally stated end-time. But as i said, this is my own personal preference.
Everyone whos is interested in the auction is aware of the end time and will have made provision to get their bids in by that time, or shortly afterwards in the case of a sniper rule. My concern about yours was that the auction could roll on indefinitely, providing there were one or more bids within the extensions.
The fact that i don't agree with your snipe rule and therefore don't intend to bid within those rules is no indication that bear any hatred towards you - hence the friendly bump.
