Found out something funny today. I have a few social skills that boost standings with factions, but the funny thing is that some1 else will still see the unmodified standings (my brother is in the room next to me). Was wondering if this is a bug, or working as intended?
Just curious, no big deal really.

I have noticed something similar to what you mentioned.
It seems on my screen with my connections skill it modifies my faction status from 6.32 to 6.96 (for example). When my buddies view my toon they say I have 6.32.
Now to add more bizarness to this tale. if I try to place a POS in high sec, I get the responce that I do not have high enough faction status being that I am at 5.31?!??!?
So which is it 5.31, 6.32, or 6.96? Maybe this is bug, if so I can send in a bug report, or maybe I misundertsand the mechanics of the faction status?

Hehe... yeah this just became more bizar. I understand theres been already a long history with 'bizar' when it comes to social skills, so I guess not everything is 100% working yet .

That's your corp's standing, not yours personally. See "Politics" tab, right-click, show compositions.

Well, I have 9.91 faction standing modified, and 9.89 non-modified, and I cannot claim the Navy Apoc offered at cosmos constellation (required 9.90 faction standing). From last 10 storyline missions, I raised 0.01...talk about boredom.

That would be because you need 9.90 unmodified standing.

To the OP, it's working as intended. Or at least CCP is aware of how your standing shows up if someone else tries to view it.

You need to wait awhile for the corp standings to move toward yours (even if you are the only one in the corp). Takes about a week iirc.
