POS's not shooting pods is an exploitable feature to obtain location and tactical information about defenses... please make pods poppable by POS's ------------------------------------------------
Just because it has wings does not mean it can fly or was even meant to in the first place. Whatch that first step, its a doozy |

It is not exploitable.
It should be the people who are defending the system or POS that should do the podding. If the person is not on when the popping was initiated, then it is their problem.
and the POS owner (I think) gets the KM for the popped ship.

Whether it is an exploit or not is debatable, but it certainly is immersion breaking.

I understand the point of this post. Clearly, allowing a pod to warp in to an area to gather intel is not a "working as intended" feature. However, I'm not sure I like the idea of adding "automated podding" to the game in any sense.
Maybe change the code to prevent a pod from being able to warp to anything other than a standard station or warp gate. Realistically, why would a player in a pod NEED to go to anything else? Just have it so a pod can only initiate warp to one of the two.

Agreed. With the added restriction that they can only warp to zero.
EDIT: Another 20 seconds of thought suggests that it wouldn't be an exploit if they could warp to gang members, and that sometimes there are no safe stations or gates to warp to.

That's a no-no. The LAST place i would warp to after a fleet battle with both gates camped and only a hostile station in space would be a gate. I usually warp from point to point making safespots along the way waiting for the smoke to clear.
Actually the most common place to warp to is a friendly pos to pick up a ship.
So the solution must be found elsewhere.

none of these solutions address the fact that you can still get into a shuttle and warp to a pos, get blown up and voila....you are in a pod at a POS. POS's should pod. If you have no balls as to warp around in a pod to gather intel you deserve to be podded. I mean seriously, the people who claim its unfair, really are u losing any implants in that scout alt of yours?
