Someone had a thread named "T2 rats" and although it wasnt related to what I was thinking, it spurred me on to a few small ideas. With market prices on most T2 items being ridiculous, why dont you allow rats to drop T2 loot and occasionally T2 ship BPC's related to that particular faction?
So a blood battleship might drop a Zealot 1 run BPC or a Mega Pulse laser II. This would floor the current market with more T2 items and hopefully reduce the cost of them. (Especially HACs atm)
Of course the drop ratio would be much lower than finding an Armor Repairer I, but it would be more often than faction. Ideas, flames, trolls?

I'd write up a comment with arguments and all but it's just not worth the time.

Even though I am not a T2 BPO owner, I can tell you that invention has had a big enough hit to the T2 market and the hit will just become bigger over time. I don't think we want the farmers to start flooding the market with T2 items now, do we?

Thank you for that 1/2 threat and 1/2 useless comment. I personally would like to hear those arguments, doesnt help if you dont tell us.

Technically Invention was pre-nerfed before it hit the game. It is still amazingly difficult to Invent a T2 ship or Item, and even when you can theres no way you can mass produce it.
Its just to high cost and I think thats how the Dev's semi-wanted it. Either way Im all for flooding the market and lowering prices on a 20mil HAC thats being sold for 175...
As far as weapons go, I dont think it will be much of an issue. I mean ratting day and night to get a few T2 mods is hardly flooding anything...It may give you a few extra isk, but not enough to crash the economy.

Still slightly disagree. Invention itself is a nice thing, but the amount of items required is still very high, and the only people who can pay the price to mass produce them are rich corporations and alliances...
Its almost like all invention did was give the BPO holders more money indirectly. Example, it cost me 94million isk on the test server to build a Damnation. They run for 75-90 on the market...

Ship invention maybe. I'm doing quite well as a 1-man corp on module invention.

well, partly is due to the time it takes to invent something..
but yeah, why would anybody go though all the trouble of collecting cores, making bpc, getting everything together, getting decryptors. and running with a chance to fail when they can just mindlessly farm T2 parts off T2 rats in missions/belts(?)
/not signed since it will make an whole skillbranch redundant.
after all, if T2 drop off rats is common, well, no point in inventing, and if its too rare.. well, no point in spending the time and effort to code the new loot table since it wont affect avaliablity that much...
