Off-topic: better lighting is always good so please improve the lighting of shipskin previews too, because they are often so dark that it's almost impossible to see how they really look like and you want to sell them, right? So showcase them and get rid of those cloudy faction backgrounds.
You still need to find the right balance of too much effects/lights (e.g. boosts) and not enough (skinpreviews).
EvE looks more and more pretty, just step back from time to time and don't get too much in love of your effect creations. Just because an effect looks good by itself doesn't mean it is a good choice seeing it every few seconds or in fleets with alot other stuff going on. Sometimes i feel i get blinded by the game if i don't zoom out to the max.
The sun preview looks great, good job on that. The hangars look already pretty good except i sometimes can't see some of the billboards due to limited camera angles / too high billboard position.
Sorry for the slightly of topic comment.
Best Regards Jin |

Can you help?
I've tried the old command to switch it -

Some feedback on the performance side.
With the Nvidia GTX 960 (12GB) I was successful in bringing up 12 clients simultaneously at 2560 X 1600 graphics content setting all high, texture medium. Looks great!
Performance wise the cpu's (all 8) were at 82% , Memory was at 80% (12GB RAM)
The response times were slow, especially on switching windows. But all in all quite good. I never run that many clients at the same time.
While running the script (see sun, take gate, see sun, return to station -- maybe fight) on 3 clients at a time. Performance and response were good.
Some anecdotal feedback on visuals. It appears that seeing the text on info windows was a bit better then currently. Not sure if this was intended or just a result of the lesser saturation on white. But any thing that helps reading numbers and text easier while fighting ships (or rocks) is a great improvement.

Why not give people something they could use in Tranquility?
What happens on the test server stays on the test server.
What you possess (in skills and ships/modules/etc.) on TQ gets mirrored over to the test server.
What you change on the test server does not go back over to TQ. Otherwise, people could buy tons of stuff for 100 ISK each (the price for everything on the test server cept for faction/deadspace, which isn't seeded, you gotta bring it with you) and mirror that back to TQ and my god... madness/the collapse of markets/etc. ;) |
