Something strange is happening to my level 2 agents, more and more of them are refusing to give me any work.
This morning I got work from one agent, and a bit later he kept giving the message that there was no work for me, to come back a bit later. I thought: "Fine, maybe downtime will fix it."
DT comes and goes, same problem. I fly to a different station, where there are two level 2 agents, they both refuse to give me work.
I have done missions for these agents before, and my standing with them is pretty good. I didn't fail any missions. Someone also suggested to clear my cache to see if that helps, it didn't.
What is going on?
Regards,

I had this once too. I think I relogged or tried again a while later. That solved it for me. Hope this helps. |

Happening to my corp mate too, his standing is still high, but most of his LvL 2 agents refuse him work, despite the fact he more than satisfies their req's Mercenary | The Azath |

Happens to my level 3 sometimes, refuses to give work then I ask here nicely again and she seems to have found a mission that she forgot about.

I have a similar problem with my level 3 agent. Says I'm not of a high enough standing and should try someone lower, when I have already done 10 missions and my standing is higher than it was. The first time I tried again and it was ok, this time its still refusing me

I think this may have something to do with the connections skill not always being picked up

nope....
I now have 2 lvl2 agents that wont speak to me at all.
Did you ever turn down a misison? as one stopped talking to me immediately after i said no to a misison... my standing is above what they need, even unmodified by skills

No, I havn't turned down any missions at all. Could be a bug with the connections skill, but then they probably would give the message that I need to look further down the ladder.

I've had the problem a couple of times. Just do a few missions for a lower agent and try again. Works for me.

Edited by: Riana Tabost on 03/01/2004 04:40:36 There's a difference between "I have no work for you" and "Your standings are not yet high enough to work for me".
Some agents have a maximum mission frequency, like level 3 agents used to require 15 minutes. Info the agents and see if they say anything about mission frequency. I would be surprised if there was anything like that for a level 2 agent.
Another possibility to consider: is a new feature? Something preventing agents handing out missions, say, if the agent has missions in progress with other players, or if they have already given too many missions in the last hour...
When an agent talks to you, the script is generated server side so it has nothing to do with your client. If he says "no work" that means the servers said "no work". __________________________________________________________________________ May I recommend a Cybernetic Subprocessor?.. That's an intelligence implant, sweetheart.

New 'features' are always possible, yet I doubt that this is something that CCP wants. For what I've seen from the dev that makes the agent missions, he's been very upfront about things, and I have seen no mention of any mission limit.

The fun part will be to figure out when they give the 'no work' reply. The only thing I've noticed so far, is that this has only affected my highest level 2 agents I have access too. The level two with quality -20, still gives work, all others, with higher quality, refuse to give work.
I havn't tried today, since I'm in different area at the moment, but I will check later today if my agent is, feeling better.

What are your effective qualities at? Perhaps for some reason, your standings are too high and the numbers got wrapped around? That would be a bug if that's the case... |
