Interesting scenario here..
What happens if a Corp in an Alliance deploys the controlling amount of POSes in a System, then Deploys an Outpost, THEN leaves the Alliance?
What happens to the Outpost, the POSes and the Sovereignty?
Logic Dictates... The Alliance loses Sovereignty, but there is NO Sovereignty in the system at all because the corp is not a member of any Alliance.
Does this mean the Alliance just needs to attack the Outpost or does it need to have Sovereignty over the system by deploying more POSES or Destroying the Corp POSES?

The outpost stays owned by that corp, but since that corp doesn't (can't) have sovereignty, anyone can come along and shoot it to take ownership.
The alliance can deploy a single tower and take sovereignty, even if the corp has a million towers, since corps can't own space.
Basically, normal soverighnty calculations apply.
Each alliance (not corp) gets a SOV point for each POS that is online and sov-enabled, provided that the POS is the same size as the largest POS in the system and that the POS has been online for 5 consecutive downtimes.
If one alliance has more points than any of the others, that alliance gets soveriegnty.
If the corp that owns the outpost belongs to the alliance with sovereignty, the outpost is immune to attack.

Interseting...
I guess the next leading question is..
Can any corp/alliance shoot and claim an outpost in a system that has no sovereignty at all?
Lets take it one step more.
A corp part of an alliance in a system with say 3 Moons total. The corp deployed 3 Large Deathstars around those 3 Moons. Deploys an outpost then leaves the alliance.
Since all the moons are claimed no alliance can claim sovereignty over the system. But what does that do for the outpost. Can anyone just come along and shoot the outpost and claim it? Or does it require that the Sovereignty be set BEFORE the outpost becomes vulnerable to attack?

I belive it becomes a ping pong station like the first capturable stations that were added.

Yes. Stations and outposts are owned by corporations, and some conquerable stations are owned by non-allied corporations. When the shields are low enough to allow a takeover, the next shot will transfer control to the corp of the person shooting.

Yes, anyone at all can come along and shoot the outpost and take it over. If the corp with the POSs joins an alliance, that alliance will automatically get sovereignty (not sure if it takes 5 days in this case). If a corp in that alliance controls or gains control of the outpost, it will at that time become immune to takeover from corporations in other alliances until sovereignty is lost.
One thing that I'm not sure about is what happens if a NPC corp player gets the takeover shot on an outpost. I've never tried it, but I assume that the shot is just ignored and the next non-NPC corp shot gets actual control.
