Question for experienced Nighthawk pilots. I've read hundreds of different fit setups for it and yet I'm thinking what else can I do to increase the DPS of my Nighthawk. Let me mention, I'm looking for a fit for 4lvl agents and some ratting. I can already tank any 4lvl mission easily (except for Enemies Abound 5/5 maybe) so I'm not looking for the best tank but to maximize DPS and run missions faster. As for the skills I currently have Heavy Missiles lvl5, Weapon Upgrades lvl4, HeavyMissile Spec. lvl4, have Drone Interfacing 5 + some other drone skills at 4-5 lvl.
Here are my thoughts regarding the fit:
6 x Heavy Missile Launchers T2 is a must, for 7th slot I'm thinking of using 720m artilery gun (any other suggestions?)
DG X-Type Large SB, DG SB Amplifier Now should I stick with 3 x race specifir hardeners or 2 invuls + something else?
3 BCU T2 + 2 PDS T2 is what I have right now. Thinking about getting 3 x DG BCU if needed. Is there a way I can use 4 BCU? Will I have enough cap to use SB and how is the penalty for 4th BCU?
Someone mentioned about having like 4.20 rof and 350 maximum damage on Nighthawk. I currently have around 4.45 rof and max damage is around 305 which is way weaker. Post some ideas please.

The person you mentioned probably had command ship 5, heavy missle spec 5, and all relevant +5% missle hardwirings.

maybe try T2 HAM - long range missiles with a missile velocity rig or two.

Not by that much tbh. A 4th BCU will only add about 4-5% to your dps, which is a slot better spent on maintaining your tank. ---

Scourge Heavy : 150 base damage [150.00]
L5 heavy missiles : 187.5 damage [187.50] L5 warhead upgrades : 206.25 damage [206.25] L5 command ships : 257.8125 damage [257.81] 1st DG BCU : 290.0390625 damage [290.04] 2nd DG BCU : 321.580810546875 damage [321.58] 3rd DG BCU : 344.49344329833984375 damage [344.49]
If launched from a DG Heavy missile launcher, base RoF of 10.5 seconds (better as T2, 12.0 base and 10.8 with L5 spec) L5 missile launcher op : 9.45 seconds L5 rapid launch : 8.0325 seconds [8.03] L5 battlecruisers : 6.024375 seconds [6.02] 1st DG BCU : 5.391815625 seconds [5.39] 2nd DG BCU : 4.89927326765625 seconds [4.90] 3rd DG BCU : 4.6060517625870234375 seconds [4.61] 5% RoF implant : 4.375749174457672265625 seconds [4.36]
Close to 350 in 4.2 sec, but not quite. I am not aware of any implants that increase missile damage, by the way. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

That seems alot of training just for a solid missle boat. Would not a gun ship be better for level 5 Command ship?
