Has anyone who sent you a threat mail ever gone beyond talking?
My own experience is that these poor sods usually claim they know some powerful alliance or whatever, and threaten to station camp you for 24/7. But this never actually happens.
Has it happened to anyone here?

6 months of hisec pirating. Usually got 3 or 4 mails going 'Just wait, my alliance / corp / friends who are 50x older than you will come spank you in a week' per week.
Never got one response

Had someone scan down my main with a locator agent an send me where I was. I laughed and told them they shouldve just asked and I'd tell them where my main base was, than I proceeded to give them advice on how to take me on and the normal times I was on, and wished them luck. They wern't too please by that, and im still waiting for their big bad corp to come down and try to pirate me.

Damn i got so many threat mails, not only for pirating but also for beeing an asshat/jerk/idiot/*****/stupidnub/carebear(lol)/nolife/lowlife/etc etc.
Never any of them left empire, at least my locator agent say so :P

Some newb was baiting and killing 1st day newbies in kisogo, so i destroyed his cruiser TWICE. He put up a whole lotta smack and carp i laughed and ignored it, a month went by and nothing. A second month later i was ratting in 0.0 when a 13 member gang shows up that's been in the area that week "and they managed to probe me out and bust me open". Sure enough it was that guy who's 2 cruisers i had vaporized 2 months earlier. I nearly died of laughter, i mean i knew some people could hold a grudge but WOW that was priceless.

LOL actually yes in a strange way.
After killed a rather nice chap and podding him after a ransom refusal just a few days ago he increased my bounty to 40mil and sent me a mail saying i was gonna die basically and if not he would increase it further
So i called his bluff and acted all hurt about the bounty but said it was gonna take more than that to get ppl to come after me!
so after threatening to increase it several times he finally increased it to 140mil with a promise that if nobody had claimed it in a few days he would up it to 200mil. i told him not to pls as i would surely be hunted down if it was that high 
me admires my new bounty.
most ppl are all talk mostly but this guy actually went through with it. feel free to come forward if u check eve-o

the only guy that ever came after me for revenge, told me nothing about it  it is generally a bad idea to warn someone beforehand anyways
the end result=he station camped me in a ferox, i undocked in hurricane and fought, after trying to make sure he didnt have backup behind the closest gate. he paid me 15 mill to let his well equipped ferox go after a long, fun fight And thus, I did not get any fancy killmail to show off to my friends, but I could still dock happy, with some extra shineys in my wallet 
whenever i imagine a drake/ferox in pvp, i think to myself that they must be worthless in a 1 vs 1 unless they have a tackler to web/scram for them, so they can focus on a good tank. and then, it wouldn't be 1 vs 1 i guess....

I had some carebear in 0.0 send me a hatemail on the weekend about losing his cruiser saying that "you ****** up you're + to us". Given that we've never had any diplomatic communications with them he really should have sent it to their diplomats.
Oh well swearing carebears are sad and I wish I could set them to show pink on the overview.

Once.
We ganked a hauler at station, and the pilot wen on for 20 minutes about how his IAC friends were gonna come get us and blah blah blah. Hour or two later, the person that killed him (i was bumping in a rifter) had long since logged, and IAC dropped a BS blob into system to chase my rifter around. Was funny, in a sad way.
And by the way, I rule you.

tbh, not one of the hundreds of threats I've received has actually amounted to anything significant (= me losing a ship/being camped in). The only thing that has come close was back when me and a mate were gate camping in Tama, we killed a brutix and about 45 mins later 10 or so of his corpmates turn up, but I guess that doesn't really count as he didn't threaten us beforehand.
It seems the only time something actually happens is when you don't get the threats.

When my corp formed up and moved into our area of choise, the local carebears (low quality ones) immidiately war decced and began blobbing us.
Once my members actually arrived they spread out pretty quickly realising our firepower made them look like a .7 npc rat, it began with one man going to rejoin his alliance and come pwn us hard, then I think it was mercs.
Now they're waiting for some nber anti-pirates to come reclaim our hq system.
All this because I charge people 200m pr month for a positive standing, it's funny, no other corp in the region kill as many pirates as ours, and while you do meet quite a few with enough brains to see that paying can turn out profitable, it never stops to amaze me how dumb some people can get.
Daily i'm told we're about to get owned by this, that etc etc, apart from that, my hate mail is pretty quiet these days.

only one, i killed someone and they threatened to bring a whole fleet on me the next day....they did.
