I tend only to try combat lvl 4, but I was wondering yesterday about if courrier and other kind of lvl 4 missions are also profitable.

Not in the slightest, not when compared to combat Lvl4s. ---

Get a quality agent and you will get ~ 500K-1mil in boni and ~1000LP per courier mission. You can do most of them AFK and for all intents and purposes (as far as the storyline is concerned) one delivery of a tabacco supply to the station in the same system is the same as WC. Daft, but it's the way it is .

I used to run L4 hauling missions for about 800k, 1-2 jumps each you get A LOT of storyline missions this way

Level 4 storylines got nerfed long ago, now is relatively rare to get an +4 implant from a story line. It is better to go for the combat lvl 4 and get the money making implants from the LP offers of your agent. Loot on combat missions got nerfed too but at least on combat you have bounties, decent LPs and better mission pay.

Edited by: Varstet on 06/05/2007 00:45:07 I have been running lvl4 Courier missions for quite a while and have found it reasonably profitable. Its not about the actual missions or rewards you just do as many as possible as quickly as possible to get the Storylines. Storylines I have been offered (with the exception of 2 combat missions) have all been small couriers rewarding a +4 implant. It makes a decent amount of ISK for work that can be done mostly AFK. The main advantage of doing lots of couriers/storylines is the standing increase. I would say if you can do Combat comfortably then I would stay with that because it is higher rewards + LP gain.

I would have to disagree with this point as I have had a lot of storylines that reward +4s. I do agree with the rest of your post though.

if aou find a courier agent hub, courier mission start to deliver. the agents send you always to the same places and you can them at once if you plan you mission run a litte. if the agent hub is in a deadend, you can be sent in only 1 direction, so its gets even more better. if you use only one courier agent at time, courier cannont compete with combatmissions. maybe not as much fun, but really relaxing, and it opnly takes a few minutes to complete one mission. if you are able to organize your missions well, you can do 10 missions per hour, maybe more... My record is completing 14 courier within 45 mins, 11 were lvl4s, 3 were lvl 3s. Logistical nightmare, but doable. All lvl 20 agents and all missions were active at the same time.
Warp to 0 has made helped courier missions a lot, so if you find an agent hub in a dead end, you got it made. Find two hubs like this a few jumps apart and you will be rich in no time. All you are really doing is moving stuff from one hub to the other, with a few stops in between.
Tell me you are going to make more soloing kill missions.
Ok you are if you have a carrier and an agent that give you nothing but blockades.

Most are 5m3, you get the odd 2000m3, 5000m3 and 6000m3.
All of my skills are PvP so I only have a mk3 Iteron. Idea is to fly with 2 x inertia stabs and 1 x Warp core stab plus 3 x t2 cargo expanders in the cargo hold and fit to suit when required.
There is also a mission called "insane industrialists", pays around 2m, asks for 2m collateral, but you need to haul 25000m3 of trit. Do what you will with that one.

Then why have 2 of the last 4 of my storylines given me +4s?

I have only run like 20 courier-missions the last couple of weeks, 1500m^3 seems to be the norm for those I run, with several 7000m^3 ones thrown in, not a single 5m^3-mission... (level IV)

That's the key point: level 4s . 1.5K m3 min and 7K m3 (single item) is a max in my experience. There is a storyline courier mission asking for 40K m3 carrying capacity, but that's 40x 1K m3 containers and you can split them.
p.s. I've never had to carry a doll anywhere but seem people talking about it - maybe it's a level 3 courier - dunno.
YMMV

The difference is that Bad Brown does Gallente or Minmatar missions, as you who are stuck at 1500m3 minium are doing Caldari missions. Minnies and Gallente also have plenty of 0.1m3 lvl4 haul missions to choose from.
