It's really getting to be time we could search remote assets in cans.
I've just been back to a station I hadn't visited in over a year. I knew there was a can there, but it was like Christmas. What was in it?
Over 300 mill in T2 gear! Whoopee!!!!! I could have done with that ages ago.
No, you can't have it. Not unless you give me the ability to remote search cans.

Edited by: Sikozu Prioris on 08/05/2007 01:08:55 Well personally I like to forget about what I have left in station containers, last week I made 60mill off minerals I had stockpiled from refining loot!
A remote search function would be usuful tho, but a waste of programming time really since you could not be lazy and keep your assests in the places you are most likely to be, ie agents station for running missions from or mining system etc.
Take an evening off and move things about, it don't take long to shorten assests list down to 5 or so entries.

If i cant see my assets in cans, then cargo scanners shouldn't be able to see them either Then my hauler alt can move loads of t2 through jita in cans and not present himelf as a big meanty t2-fille target.

As we are there, let's add a "locate your can i space" function. I have recovered all the secure can I have deployed, but I am sure there is lot of people that don't even rember where they placed some can 2 years ago, and those can are there cluttering the systems.

Or just start making a contract, select your container and you will get a warning message "Non empty container, this contains: <all your stuff>"
Or something like that.

It works for me, just takes +/- 5 mins to take effect, and you need t relog to update your Assets.

Yes this would be good.
But more importantly I want to be able to sort assets by how far away they are

Who says cargo scanners can see inside containers in your cargo hold? Don't listen to the Jita pirates who keep claiming cargo scanners look inside containers hoping you won't bother using them.
I've tried it on an alt and I couldn't see one item of the 50+ items he had in his container in his cargo.
