Just wondering whats the average sort of RP per day that people are making?
I am getting 149 and a bit per day...is this decent or rubbish? ============================================== "Trust no man who says to you that 'The ends justify the means' or who says that 'We will do whatever it takes...'. These men have no honour, and are fit only to be politicians."

depends on the project...
Starship engineering and weapon research have multipliers (3x/2x)
149 on a starship project isn't that much...but on a project without multiplier it would be decent i'd say.
no police, no summons, no courts of law; no proper procedure, no rules of war; no mitigating circumstance; no lawyers fees, no second chance! |

Not to mention impossible
If you have lvl5 in, say, Rocket Science, and your agent has lvl3, and his effective quality is 50 (I don't even know if EQ50 is possible), you'd get (5+3, squared) * (50/100, +1) = 64*1.5=96 RP a day.
I get just about 50/day on rocket science and I figure that's none too shabby. I suppose I'll train up to lvl5 eventually, though.

i think, you just found out that i'm really not much into numbers
you'd definitely wouldn't want to see me estimating my monthly budget without a pocket calculator....and i'm always to lazy to switch it on.

With 149 and that question im just assuming your working on a 3x research field for ships, it isnt shabby but with some good social skills a nice agent and l4 in your research you should be able to get close to 200 or more.

Nice. I get just a bit under 25/day. My agent has an effect quality of -5 (only Duvolle Labs agent with Rocket Science), I have Rocket Science 3, and agent has 2.
I'm going to switch to something else with one of the better agents after I get my first BP from this guy. ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

Roden Shipyards (Gallente, too) has a quality 0 lvl3 agent (their best lvl3 RD agent, sadly)with rocket science lvl3.
Getting a effctive ~51 RP/day with him with agent skill lvl3 and char skill lvl4 (actually 102 rp/day, but it's plasma physics, which has a *2 multiplier because it's a weapon research skill)

I just started Rocket science 3 today with a lvl 3 agent and his skill lvl in rocket science is lvl 3.
He has an effective quality of 34 and I'm only getting 48.24 RP/day

People with negotiations, connections and science skill at 4, using the top research agent (Skill 3 and base quality 18) seem to be getting a base of 68.11 RP per day.
This is where the 204.33 RP per day on starship skills comes from.
I'm just wondering how soon people are going to get to lvl 5 in their science skills, it would take me 26 days to train it, and i'm not sure it's worth it, as there is no gaurenteed pay off. ----------------------------------------------- IÆm not schizophrenic... ThatÆs my alt

With the High Energy Physics at lvl 4, negotiation lvl 3 and a -7 skill lvl 3 agent, I'm getting 52. something a day. Double that if I fly his missions. Gonna try switching too a higher quality one as soon as I spent my accumelated 1150 RP on getting a darn BP. Won't be training a rank 5 skill to lvl 5 for this though. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Getting 170RP/day with L4 Gallantain Starship skill with L3 agent EQ+18(I think).
Not top notch but respectable.
Since my science character has soooo many new skills to learn, I will prolly never train it to L5.

I am getting 131.32 RP\Day in Laser Physics (2x field bonus).
I have laser Physics lvl 4 and it would take 32 days to get it to lvl 5. I have the best carthum research agent availible. Right now i'm a little above 1700 RP.

for the Cargo Scanner II the requirements are:
Manufacturing: Electromagnetic Physics 1, Electronic Engineering 1, Industry 5 Copying: Electromagnetic Physics 3, Electronic Engineering 3 Researching ME: Electromagnetic Physics 2, Electronic Engineering 2, Metallurgy 5 Researching TP: Electromagnetic Physics 3, Electronic Engineering 3, Research 5

Where is this information shown?
Related to that, how do you know to what end (equipment) a branch of research will yield? I assume Laser Physics is a weapon skill. What about Nanite? or Quantum? or others? Do we have any idea which direction each research arm leads?

jO posted this from a tech II blue print she got from Chaos. About the bp from R&D science skills you have to guess now. I posted this since most have not seen this. It will make those out there to look at science 5 and other skill 5 in a better light. --------------------------

Starship engineering and weapon research have multipliers (3x/2x)
Does anyone know what the use of these multipliers are? Since everyone in the same field has the same multiplier, it isn't much use for the lottery. It only matters when comparing fields, and that doesn't happen, does it?

Yes, it does happen. Those who are researching starship engineering will be entered in the lotteries for ship blueprints, but in no others; whereas those researching, say, rocket science or mechanical engineering (I'm not sure which non-starship skills, but definitely some and possibly all) will be entered for the ship lotteries, as well as assorted others.
To compensate for their restricted opportunities, those researching starship engineering get triple the RPs to increase their chances of success.
Ditto weapons skills, only entered for weaponry lotteries, double the RPs.

if that link works, makes a lot of sense
