Hey ppl, I am planning to set up a research pos in 0.5 or higher sec. I know that I need certain standings in order to do so.
What kind of standings?
-With the empire which owns the system? Only me or my corp as well? And if I left my corp and try to do so in one of the npc corps? If I create a one men corp just to set the pos?

Your entire corporation needs an average standing of 5.00 + for the faction that holds the space.
The average is the one quoted on the show info for the corp under standings. You can find out who in your corp is dragging your standings down by right clicking on the faction under standings (in corp show info) and clicking "show compositions"
You can only anchor as a player corporation, and the POS belongs to the corp, not the individual.
Whoever in the corp is going to use the POS, they need the correct roles.
if you want to use the POS for mobile labs, then it gets interesting:
Each mobile lab acts like a corp hanger, and you can put stuff in and take stuff out like 1 gigantic container in space.
However, there is a special case: For ME and PE only, if your corp has an office in the same system in an NPC station, then you can research stuff from the corp hangers in the NPC station rather than from the labs themselves

You can also do copy jobs in a BPO in a station in the POS system, as I was doing this with our POS, any materials need for the job must be in the lab however, and the copys are delivered in the lab.
Might be wrong in this, but think you need the remote research skill to use BPO's that are in the station.

yeah, i think you're right actually. The problem comes with alliances. You can do ME and PE fine from another corp in alliance (to the one owning the POS) using the NPC station office method, but not for copying (or rather you can, but the copies are lost in the ether until petitioned)
