One of my favorite ships.
A cheap fit I used in the past was similar to the one above, but with meta 1 or 2 modules. You should use two PDS in the low slots to boost your defenses, which will be your real problem. Rigs should boost shield regen too. I also used three rat-specific hardeners. You can run many L3 missions in this ship, including Angel Extravaganza. That will help you afford a Drake, which can walk through most L3s and get you started on L4s.
Consider getting a Moa. Its resistance bonus, greater shields, and many low slots lets it take on L3 missions that may be difficult in a Caracal, but it will take longer since it does less damage. |
