how can it be legitimate when i have NOT i repeat NOT signed up for eve voice, ......at the very least its spam, tell them to stop spamming me with questions about a feature im NOT using, its irritating cos it makes me think some hacker has gotten hold of my email address, then i have to go through the whole " now i have to create a new email address" thing knowledge is power.... guard it well |

I checked out subscribermail.com and they have an email that you can send abuse to. If it is revealed that this is fraudulent, we should all send in emails to the abuse line and get it shut down asap.
That IP is from Chicago, Il, owned by CerNet and is a "marketing" email service called SubscriberMail. (IE: spammer)
However the originating ISP looks to be an Insightbb.com customer. (Cable Modem ISP service in the USA) Too bad you didnt get further information so we can tracert to the origin. Could be a zombie computer or someone dumb enough to use their personal computer.
If you get an email, strip the header and put it up here so we can all figure out who's running another scam.
Um, Insightbb.com is NightF0x's ISP presumably.

That's the header in my mail, and AOL is my ISP (yeah, yeah).

I was going to give you time to save yourself, but now your shame lives in this quote indefinitely
Glad to see there is nothing to panic over.

Drilling down further I found the originating IP, and it was pingable. I won't post it. If you know your DNS you can sc*****it up.
However I won't brush off my black hat from my past and drill any further. Because IP's rotate on DHCP's in most ISP's it would probably not be the same person.
Anyway. The location is in Louisville, Kentucky... Blue grass and spammers... Who knew. ________________________________________________ It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion,

Thanks.
Funny emails go directly in the bin. Better yet, why send us emails when they could have sent EVERYONE notification that a survey was on the way via EVEMail.

To bad I didn't get a survey, as I was never even able to get the voice to work at all...it just wouldn't let me join a audio channel, other people could see me in them but I couldn't see me or them in them, and couldn't hear or talk. But from what I have heard it sucks, so no loss. :p

Erm yes as someone stated above y dont you use eve-mail?
It gets to far more players, far less likely to be seen as scam/spam.
And im sure your technical wizzes could make a reply address that turns the reply email into text files that can be taken straight off a server blade without any hassle!
