I am fairly new and trying to get an idea of what stuff costs. Mostly that seems pretty straight forward but no one advertises their rates for player services ... like mercenary corps. So ...
1. How much does it cost to hire some mercs?
2. Are there any mercenary corps with a degree of renown?
3. Is it possible to find mercenaries unaffiliated to the big alliances capable of sustained campaigns? Are sustained campaigns even financially viable?
I guess I'll leave it at that for now and see where things go from there. Thanks for your consideration! |

It really depends on the job.
We do WH merc work and the minimum cost is always going to be in the billions.
If you just want to hire some noobs to harass people in HS, Orphanage do ti for the cost of the wardec. |

Not petty stuff like head-hunting or private bounties. I was thinking anything from harassment like poaching and pushing POS's into reinforcement and stuff like that all the way up to full on push-so-and-so-out-of-the-system sort of warfare. I mean this as a legit WT question which is why I posted it here. So price ranges for legitimate combat ranging from small strategic harassment campaigns to the full on break their backs sort of deal. |

The cost of a contract will vary depending on what you want to happen to who and who you want to do it. If you want work done in highsec that involves a war declaration you will also have to cover that basic cost. Depending on the contract the mercenaries may want you to agree to a Pay Per Kill rate instead of or in addition to taking a lump sum, in this case you will be expected to pay a pre-set ISK value for every ship destroyed.
Also anything that happens in a wormhole is going to cost you billions. |

Again, you're going to be paying billions. Because low and nullsec are environments where suddenly supercarriers happens and because taking down a properly set up POS tower often takes the dedication of quite alot of assets on multiple occasions for fairly long periods of time the payment will have to be enough to someone willing to put those assets at risk.
In highsec for taking down POS towers the situation is slightly different, relatively few highsec corps will even attempt to defend a POS tower, more likely is that they will drop their tower from the alliance that the corp is in once the tower is reinforced and take the tower down during the period where it is not possible to shoot the tower, as such you'll likely be paying for "POS removal" rather than "POS destruction". Because of the absence of capital ships in highsec taking down a properly set up POS tower with manned guns requires the dedication large numbers of ships (in highsec terms) for a very long period of time so the price is again likely to be high simply because the process is so tedious.
For POS towers the smaller and more poorly set up the tower the cheaper it should be to contract someone to remove it. |

So you want us to evict some 15man industrial corp from a HS static C2? sure, that sould be a couple bil.
So you want us to evict AHARM from their C6? yeah, you don't have enough ISK ;) |

just my $.02....keep this type of request private. Search on here a bit and find a merc you are comfortable with, then engage them directly . Narwhals(not sure why they ate my duck!?!?!) will serve you well, but other options are out there if you are willing take on the extra risk. |

Speak to alex or somone from Noir. He is atleast 100% ohnest and if your job is too small for them they might be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise be careful who you give your money too there is alot of sharks out there.
