Curious if I have any fellow eve brothers in arms over here fighting in Iraq/Afghanistan?
Myself, Im stationed in Northern Iraq near the Syrian Border training Iraqi Military personnel. Im with the U.S. Army's 1st Cav Division, 4thBCT.
Dont get too much time online here but when I do I like to check up on my skills(about all i can do with my connection) and read the forums.
Anyways, just curious if anybody else is deployed in this game. |

Aye, 2 people in my corp are in Iraq atm. Satellite communications FTL when it comes to teamspeak :)

Tried it once using a tinfoil sat dish in bumfrack afghanistan but considering simply checking email was a 2hour endeavor EVE was out of the question. O7 to all me bros downrange.

My RL friend & corp mate is actually getting ready to be deployed to Iraq at the end of the month. In fact, he's stopping over tonight to transfer his character to one of my accounts so I can keep his training going.
I'm not sure what unit he's going to be attached to yet, but I'll let him know about this thread, he might put a shout up. :)

I am not in the sandbox atm, but I was there from '04-'05 up near Tikrit 'Sunni Death Triangle'.

I am in the US Air Force and I just returned from a 4 month deployment to Cyprus. Not exactly the conditions you guys have to put up with, but time away from friends and family sucks no matter where you are. I have spent my fair share of time in the desert as well and will be returning there in 6-8 months. Stay safe out there guys.

no not currently deployed, but have been recently, Kurdistan, AF. yeah, that's about all i can say.
edit and BTW WTF?!?! you get internet and you're in the ARMY? no more whining about AF getting the good lodging for army personnel from this day forth.

eve people don't tend to be the same kinda people that protest at military funerals or blame soldiers for the goverments mess ups.

I have a friend who is in Afganistan atm, and i know of 2 guys in Eve who were in Iraq a year ago. So far none have been wounded (luckily).
I can only repect the people who are send there to combat zones all over the world, anyone who does not is in my opinion a misguided individual. Never abandon your brothers, even when you do not agree with the politics.
