Usually gallente ships uses greek and babylonian mythology for its name, but the vexor is an exception, and I wasn't able to find the origin of its name. The only two things that comes in my mind are either a form of vexo (latin word for "to torment"/"to mistreat"), or vexor which is an continuous integration tool for python (a tool to merge work from different developers). So... Does anyone have an idea of the solution ? With a dev source maybe ?

In all fairness the naming conventions are not universal across the 4 races. The vexor is an obvious attempt to say this ship torments it's opponents. That's my take on it at least. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose. Unless you podded them...and collected their corpse.

So Vexor is a ship that vexes or harasses opponents. A Dominix is a ship that dominates opponents. Drones swarming all over you can get really vexing really fast. A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

At the time I think I found something like Latin, 'traveling merchant.' -Right, Tristan is Sir Tristan from the King Arthur stories and Tristan und Isolde. -Thrasher is actually a bird, in the bug-hunting shrike family. Wagners "Tristan and Isolde" was inspired by the book "Tristan and Iseult" written by Gottfried von Stra+ƒburg circa 1210, which was inspired by the novel "Tristan" written by Thomas d'Angleterre around 1180. Breakfast is the most important drink of the day.
